Disagree, I think illness put a damper on him the entire season and knowing a lot of people who suffered from glandular fever, it can dog you for a long long time. He's looked really good up to this match (admittedly I didn't see the Safin encounter save for highlights) but seems to be generally flat today. What we do know is when he's been flat in the past he's still found a way to get over the line. Today is a major test.

That's what I was talking about, you're lapping up the Channel Seven spin. Yes, he was under the weather here last year but was fine for the other 75% of the year. Did you even see the French final, the Wimbledon final or his US Open win?

No I'm not lapping up the spin, I don't give a rat's about what channel 7 says, this is my opinion. He played good tennis at stages throughout the year because he's a good, nay a great player. At no stage imo was he 100%.

One of the better matches over the last couple of years. Some phenomenal shots in the final set. Was a gripping affair. Both gave their all.

That was some sort of comeback from Federer, he looked deadset gone. Good on him. :)

Really hope Dokic can get over the line here. Come on!

Good viewing at the moment, but IMHO distasteful to hear the crowd booing Dokic's opponent a minute ago

Huge G & D from both girls though ... Dokic with the late injury and some huge tennis, and equally her 19yr old opponent with 30+ plus thousand against her, kept holding her nerve.

I don't watch a lot of tennis these days, and I'd forgotten just how entertaining the special games can be.

The only worry now will be if after the adrenaline goes the ankle injury turns out to be quite serious. Touch wood :(

How good was that match though seriously?
