Definitely. But they all fights stiffs. Part of the game/apprenticeship.
Joe Louis famously had his "Bum of the Month Club". Of course that was balanced by fights with Marciano, Walcott, Conn, Baer, Schmelling, Carnera, Charles and Braddock among others.
Green's record? Blew his first title shot against Bayer. Outpointed in their next bout. Won a title against Drews who pretty much refused to fight over twelve rounds.
Got schooled in the biggest fight of his career.
The Man cops a lotta grief. But when he was hopelessly raw he stepped into the ring against a seasoned champ in Ottke. He was a rank outsider against Echols but claimed his first title. Sam Soliman has been in the ring with the best and Mundine blew him away in their third bout.
Then, of course, there was the boxing lesson he gave Green, who must've suffered whiplash from his head snapping back from Mundine's jabs all night long.
Mundine would've been rightly crucified if he staged a sham fight like this.
Green's had a free ride for far too long...
