And the fact they he admitted he preferred Fords and his first and favourite car was a Ford!
I'm sure Holden fans will just be happy to get back on top and wont care too much though.
Be interesting to see what reception either get if they win Bathurst, might have both fans cheering!
A lot of people will follow them from Ford to Holden as they're very popular and a few are none to impressed with Ford's allocation of funds and rightfully so.

I think Holden getting Lowndes back was not as important for them as getting Triple 888 racing on board. I think its incidential who drives for them - put Will Davison or Tander in one of the Triple 888 cars in the last 2 years and they would have blown everyone away as well.

Holden now have one of the premier racing teams in the world working with them. Puts some pressure on HRT next year to perform, seeing they are the 'factory' team...

Two thirds of cars on the grid next year will be Holdens. If Ford continue to pull funds out of motor racing in this country, this could be the beginning of the end for the V8 supercar category.

I tend to agree with you. Ford will really only have 6 "A" grade cars on the grid next year; FPR, SBR and DJR. If you take the 888 cars out of the top 10 in todays race, you end up with one Ford in the top 10.

I can't believe that Ford would go down the same path they did all those years ago. It did a lot of damage to their image and once again, they will live to regret their decision...

And you're right, it will hurt the category.

yeah as much as i love seeing holdens smash fords it was a little boring a few years ago when HRT were winning just about every race, so yes thinking the same it will turn out like that and fords wont have a show. Made me turn away from the sports for a short while as it was boring. The Falcon AU wasnt much to write home about

It's been a week since the announcement of this one and I'm still shattered. Why oh why Ford, how could you let this happen?

I'm glad I bought my BA XR when I did, it may be the last golden age of the Falcon me thinks..... :(
