Like the Milwaukee Brewers with the big bats of Prince Fielder, Ryan Braun, Mark Cameron and Corey Hart and veteran save expert Trevor Hoffman.

The Kansas City Royal's 25 year old pitcher Zack Greinke is the standout pitcher of the year so far. He started the year with a 34-45 career win/loss record and an ERA over 4 but this year he's 8-1 with the amazing ERA of 0.84. He must be a hard worker because he had already signed a 4 year contract extension in the offseason so the extra security hasn't stopped him from working.
Look for Greinke to be playing for the Yankees, Redsox, Dodgers, Indians or Mets in a few years time

why indians, the tribe are like the twins 1 of the least big spenders in the league. They have bugga all money.

According to this year's figures they're in 14th place for payroll so they're not totally destitute.

Colorado Rockies are only 37-33 at the moment but they've won 17 of their last 18 games.

35 year old Ichiro Suzuki got his 1900th hit the other day for his career which is amazing considering he didn't start in the majors 'til he was 27. Conceivable that a player like him could go to 40 with a good injury run - is he still a chance for 3000 hits?

Philadelphia smash Cincinatti 22-1 including a 10 run first inning.

Albert Pujols is leading majors in homers (31), RBI's (82) and is equal 3rd in batting average - which is a great effort for a slugger - at .336

Paul Konerko hit's 3 homers in a game against Cleveland.

42 year old knuckleballer Tim Wakefield of the Boston Red Sox has been selected for his first All Star game and is one off major's lead with 10 wins for the year.

Forget to mention that the Chicago White Sox star pitcher Mark Buehrle pitched his second career no hitter in their 5-0 win over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Not only was it a no hitter though, it was also a perfect game which means that no Tampa hitter even got on base.

Buehrle was also assisted by an awesome home run robbing catch by his centre fielder De Wayne Wise in the ninth and final inning.

In the modern era, only Nolan Ryan (7) and Sandy Koufax (4) have more no hitters and this was only the 8th perfect game since 1981.

By Adam Kilgore PHILADELPHIA - Josh Beckett's starts over the past month had turned into more exhibitions than contests. His dominance could be savored, but it squeezed any drama out of the game

You will probably be proven correct but he did bring up his 9th straight 200 hit season recently - which broke a 108 year old record for most consecutive 200 hit seasons - as well as his 2000th career hit. Could feasibly finish the year with 2040 hits so I will be very interested to see where he'll be at the end of the 2014 season when he'll be about to turn 41 if he has the drive to go on that long and remains relatively injury free.
