marauders have poached wanderahs A's goalie skeet, along with Brad G!

strange for marauders A's coach to be poaching so many players, after he kicked up a storm last year on the forum about poachin players...

i have never poached a player be carefull what you say mate .if players are not happy at there present club they should be able to go where they want to brad came to a team meeting and i havent seen or spoken to him since, the ball is in his court . mate if he rocks up and wants to play for marauders im not going to say no you would be stupid to tell him to nick off. he rocked up on his own merrits . i was stunned when he turned up . as for skeet he is training to get his fitnes up as wanderers dont start training till the first week of hockey .we all said that flinders would start carring on when they seen him out ravendale . marauders dont need another goalie .so buddy get your facts right before you start shooting off or come and confront me like a man and not put bullshit on this forum .wanker !!

Hopefully Libertine gets laid out in his first footy game and can't play hockey again all year.

I think that as long as i don't play Ruck, get tackled, bumped, ran into, tripped over, turn sharply, need to reach for a pass, or get hit in the face with the footy, or as long as i dont get hit in either knee, shin, ankle or shoulder, then my football alignment will not affect my hockey at all.

Cheers CC for supporting me in my footy career also, however long it may last...

maybe the only good thing you will gain from this is that you might learn something from your bostons teamates, on how to be tough on a sporting field. That way u can pass it onto your girly flinders teamates, who always take a backwards step whenever their confronted....

Brad and Skeeter were both at Wanderers training on thursday night and Brad is part of the A Grade's coaching team. The rumors about him leaving the club were nearly true however some last minute wheeling and dealing enabled us to come to an agreement with him. Barksoff had nothing to do his possible defection and any suggestion otherwise is simply not true. Brad had his own reasons for thinking of leaving and they had nothing to do with any sort of approach from Marauders. As for Skeeter I'm not to sure about the back ground story to this rumor, didn't read the old thread before it was removed, but I can tell you he was there on thurs and is playing for Wanderers this season as far as I know.

Ok so after a very long absence from all things hockey the old fire has returned and I can't wait for the season to start. Like I said above I didn't read the old thread for over a year and know nothing about why it was deleted, but it doesn't surprise me that it has been. When I last read it it was full of untruths, bull*hit rumors and very little substance. I asume not much has changed, however, I thought I had better try and catch up on some of the gossip floating around before this season really gets underway. I know there will be many new faces at different clubs this year and that should make things all the more interesting. Good luck to all clubs and players and I look forward to following the banter on this thread throughout the year.

So for those who arn't aware myself, Brad Giles and Tom Bayly will be looking after Wanderers A grade this year and this was only confirmed on Tuesday this week. I don't think there are many changes in personel from last season with only maybe Corey Hancock returning and that is not a definate. Turbo is playing so I am told, haven't spoken to him yet cause he is still on the boat, that came from Adam his brother. I know there were rumors about him playing footy so I'm keen to talk to him when he gets in and find out exactly what's happening. Obviously we have lost Jimmy and that will hurt a bit but no one is irraplaceable, and it will give us a chance to blood the kids comming through. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Atkinson boys do this year with extended game time in A grade and young Max Bail is a kid who from all reports has plenty of talent and will be used if he wants the opportunity. Wanderers Men are having a meeting on Tuesday night at 7.00pm at Ravendale and we are asking all senior mens players (A and B graders) to turn up so we can sort a few things out. What you will see from Wanderers this season is a return to Wanderers hockey, hard at it, determined and SMART. It's time our boys played some turf pitch hockey in a simular mould to panthers.
Would love to hear reports on how the other clubs are looking........obviously we have all heard about the Mauraders Machine gearing up with the help of some new recruits. ;) and Panthers will just be panthers and very hard to beat again. Flinders, as always, seam to be the mystery...........haven't heard a thing about how they are looking........maybe Libertine can shed some light?????? looking forward to reading all about it soon.
Goodluck all.
Reegz

Ohh yeah Barksoff........I do remember that little discusion we had at baseball during the year...........sorry man couldn't do it. I know you'll do well anyway. Hopefully your boys JUST go down in the GF..............to us of course. ;)

Libertine I thought you did a couple of good things the other night at the footy. The coach didn't give you much game time. Stick to footy mate
