something like 350 bucks for a family of four to attend, without all the other expenses on top.
queensland played horribly tonight and still only lost by 8 points. get scott prince in there somewhere next game at suncorp and it will be a different story. even having been born and bred on aussie rules, state of origin is one of my sporting highlights each year and deserves to be on in adelaide live. Absolute joke when it is not.

Scoreboard didn't reflect NSW's dominance.

Maroons buckled under the pressure of the Blues' smothering defence - just didn't give the Queensland backs time and space to do anything.

Lacking a creative playmaker didn't help either.

SOS Scott Prince!

Hunt, and Israel were played outta position and also the other problem was the Storm players from Queensland the NSW coach knew all about them. Queensland to bounce back at Lang Park.

Funny little article in the Teletrash about the Maroons coaching panel.

Neil Henry does the actual coaching.

While Mal just sits there like a stunned mullet.

Can't say I'm all that surprised.

Bring on Game 2!

ill go with what seems to be the majority with QLD. no idea why but when this is on every year i always hope the maroons win, no idea why!

i watched game 1 in a pub in brissy and there were almost chairs going through the big screen because they were so annoyed at what was happening.

QLD were hot favs to win the series and now have to do it the hard way. You would expect them to level the series and then go into game 3 decider.
