PLease explain?

IMO its boring to watch (OK to play) baseline rallies until someone makes a mistake, very very few variables in the sport make it a game for machines essentially...

If NFL and basketball are over rated how come NFL draws the biggest crowds of any sport on the planet and Basketball is only second to soccer in world popularity?

I used to think the same about NFL but sit down and watch it one day...it is an incredible game once you understand it

Says who? To win a major in each sport would be on par* IMO.
Both sports require the same sort of techniques. Strength, accuracy & patience.
At least in golf you can do that whilst not being too athletic...

Golf you play in variable conditions all the time, tennis they dont play if too hot or if it rains!

each week golfers face a new course, new conditions, wind, rain, sleet, heat and to win a championship you have to beat 132 other players...to win a tennis tourney you need to win 7-8 matches and therefore 7-8 opponents, you can rely on other players knocking out players (e.g. Federer)...sure tennis players travel but most games are now indoors on the same surface and the same lines drawn on the court, if your under 6'2 these days you just wont be competitive....

Valid points. Explain to Federer that clay is the same as grass ? The argument could go back and forth. I like Golf and enjoy watching it, as much as I do tennis.
The advantage Golf has is if you aren't good enough to crack the US tour, the you can have a go at Europe, then Asia, then try your hand in Australia etc, where as tennis is just straight into the rankings otherwise flounder. I employed a couple of amateur golfers as temps at my old work place, as they needed a income to support them whilst they tried to crack the tours. One has made it to the Asian tour where hopefully he will succeed enough to go to Europe at least, and the other one is still going on the Amateur circuit, although he did play the Aus Open the year before last. He is going to Asia in hope of qualifying...

In golf, players have quite a long time to think about what they'll do with each shot as well...the ball is stationary, whereas in tennis, apart from the serve, the ball is coming at you at a very quick speed.

I'd say the skill levels required for both sports would be pretty much equal.

NFL is the worst sport in the world. Even worse than soccer. How freaking stop start can you get? 10 metre pass, then off for a few minutes. My word it’s a shocker. Not to mention the time ticking down when they’re standing around talking. Laughable sport.

Stronly disagree. Only 2 of the 9 Masters series events are outdoors, all four of the Slams are outdoors. How can you say most are indoors? And it's not as though the conditions are the same everywhere, there are many different court surfaces which all play different ways. Of course nothing to the extreme of golf but still, there are differences.

Oh hang on mate, I forgot the rule that said the bigger the crowd, the better the sport.

What a garbage point you're trying to get across by posting that.

NFL is technically brilliant, tactics, set plays and huge athletes play a massive part in making this sport what it is, but i agree, extremely stunted play.
Almost like human chess.
But you will find it boring if you don't understand it.
Simple.
Same applies with cricket, Yanks look at it, don't understand it, class it as boring.
Baseball is like simplified cricket, hit it as hard as you can, run in a circle, the game goes on.
That's why they like it.
I hate baseball.
Baseball IS boring.
Tennis, well, hit and giggle.
But you can be good at hit and giggle.
