A couple of top match ups this week with a little fuel added to one of them during the week.

Bit disappointed with scheduling as we have made it clear at the start of the year that we would like to avoid fri night fixtures. Considering we have ticked all the right boxes in regard to a ref, committee member, sevens sides and junior development I would have hoped some parties at a higher level could have been more accommodating. Having said that it will be an interesting meeting this Monday night I would think...

Although we are probably the only side that has a mathematical chance of replacing st brendans in fourth spot their change of fixture hardly assisted them anyhow. I think the main issue that needs to be dealt with however is the issue of 13 and 15 a side. St brendans are definitely a better 13 a side team with their fitness and pace and has greatly assisted their percentage this year I feel....definately creates an uneven playing field...

We only play 13-a-side when we have less than 15 players. We played 15 aside against powerhouse Western Ireland with the bare 15 and they had 20ish and have played against other teams with the bare 15 - even tho with the rules they way they we could have requested 13aside. In our percentage booster against your boys we played 13-a-side as BOTH our teams had less than 15 players IIRC... not sure how we could have played 15 aside there?? The other booster was against Mitcham and that was 15aside. We played 13aisde against Na Fianna as we started the game with 14 players, and had the 15th rock up at 1/2 time. Our numbers have been average this year.
The Taints coaching staff has been the SA state coaching staff for the past 2 seasons - we support 15aside football in SA as that's what we play at Championships (and get belted at it).
