A bit excited by NXT...

Four left, and I think Derrick Bateman (pro Daniel Bryan), Brodus Clay (pro Ted Dibiase) and Byron Saxton (pro Dolph Ziggler) are going to be the final three.

FWIW they've got enough charisma and talent IMO to make it in the WWE, and I think it'll be Bateman that wins, because the prize (a WWE tag title shot), wouldn't work with Saxton, as Ziggler is pushing for the WHC, and Clay and Dibiase are at each others throats...

I still find hard to fathom that Ziggler is the number 1 contender. :?

I still find hard to fathom that Edge is a 10 time world champion. I mean really Edge 10 time champ more than mick foley and steve austin put together or the same amount as undertaker & kurt angle put together, I mean as if and to make it worse maybe like 1 or 2 he has won cleanly and all with his running hug.

Edge the 10 time transitional champion superstar...

Different time, different era buddy. Perhaps its not about how many but how long. eg. hulks 4 years in the 80,s or brunos 7 years in the 70,s. Adam Copeland is a worthy world champ in his own right but comparing numbers from now to yesteryear will always produce peculiar statistics. Edge is a good worker and has been a worthy champ whether you see it or not!

i think edge won a few easy titles when he was with vicki gurerro. I like edge myself but i believe some of them were won thanks to him marrying vicki. really who would touch that. Yes its acting but i heard something about edge got upset that everyone else was winning titles and he was only winning tag team titles and he nearly walked.

like Kane. He has won the WWE/Heavey wieght championships 3 times or something since he has been with the WWE? I mean come on i think Kane deserves it more then anyone there.

and you get cena who is only still there because he sells T-shirts and keeps the kiddys involved but he has won all these titles more then kane.

See Triple H, Vince and Kevin Dunn on most if not all of this. Vince decides who he thinks will make a champion but Kevin Dunn likes big muscle bound guys whilst he is a bucked toothed nerdy looking guy. That is why Warrior & Batista both held the title. Guys like Bret Hart, Chris Beniot, Edge, Christian & C.M. Punk were always transitional Champions yet alot better wrestlers than some of the guys that have held the title (Sid and John Cena.). Triple H has choosen Sheamus but held guys like RVD, Booker T, Scott Steiner & Chris Beniot to name a few back.
Then you get guys who sell big dollars Steve Austin, John Cena, Hulk Hogan & Jeff Hardy these guys will hold the belt a few times because they are popular.

Dont get me started on Scotty Steiner. No one was finer than Scotty Steiner. A legit wrestling machine with size, strength, charisma and innovation. Could well have been another Terry Jean if not for his behind the scenes shenanigans, misdemeanors and unwillingness to kiss the right ass. H3 jobbed himself like never before in Scotts WWE debut but alas its a business and SS did not play the game as well for arguments sake as someone like Edge.

Edge has not been the same since returning last year, his best years may be behind him.
Kane is perhaps the luckiest guy on the WWE roster (apart from maybe Mark Henry). All he really does is kick and punch, and most of his matches are poor, but he's a 2-time champion who has had quite a few main event fueds.
Chris Benoit's complete lack of charisma and mic. skills held him back, not HHH. And Steiner was never fully healthy when he signed for WWE, which is why almost all his matches from '02 onwards stunk.

I think a key factor in this argument is that these days there are two key belts up for grabs, which has probably devalued the status of the belts.

& RVD always says it best!!!

Now days a title changes hands every other month, up to just a few years ago it used to be every few months. A champ would on to a belt for a while then lose it.

Barring Kane's WHC run, it has chopped and changed a bit, hasn't it...?

That's the only chance Ziggler has of getting the strap.

That is the problem with having only one big company and running two shows with very limited decent wrestlers. You need to wrestle the WWE way which really does suck. The biggest problem I find is the constant changing of hands the way I would like to see it done is use Wrestlemania, Summer slam and Survivor Series as you main ppv and only hold title changes on these shows. Go back to building up wrestlers and their matches instead of what happens at the moment. It is becoming more and more like the Hardcore title 24/7 rule.

Funny stuff on TNA lately with Angle and Jarrett in a bitter feud.
Jarrett's been parading his wife (and Angle's ex) Karen in front of Angle.

With Jeff and Karen in the ring, the crowd was hilariously chanting "sloppy seconds" as they attempted to address the audience

Meanwhile the Main Event Mafia are rumoured to be returning to challenge Immortal for dominance.

Booker has been running his own training center with his Brother down in Houston. Whilst Scott has been working WWC shows and is now back in TNA.
