France seem to have regained their confidence with a fair bit of help from, shall we say, favourable refereeing by Alain Rolland of Ireland (has a French father)...namely the hasty red card and ignoring a blatant forward pass by France that allowed them a try. Despite the score Namibia still not going to go quietly

The All Blacks challenged Portugal to a game of soccer yesterday. Portugal 3, All Blacks 1. Revenge no doubt was sweet.

As to my observations of Australia, they are doing what they do in every world cup. What they need to do. No fanfare and no mucking around.

I see that my observation that England were gone proved correct.

South Africa will be in the final. So it's up to the rest now to decide who meets them.

I know a bit thanks to a rugby obsessed father (both playing and spectating) I'm far from being an expert though...I readily admit to getting the statistical info from the IRB web site . But I hope my personal comments on the games aren't too far off the mark and make the posts a little more interesting than just scores.

Btw if there are any games where posting scores would be spoilers due to a delay in tv transmission let me know and I'll keep quiet
