The offensive juggernaut that is Tom Brady/Randy Moss continues with the New England Patriots latest shellacking which came at the expense of the Buffalo Bills 56-10. I didn't think a team could go 16-0 in the modern era but think they are a huge chance of doing so now.
Brady went 31/39 for 5 TD passes and 373 yards passing to take his stats for the year to an astonishing 38 TD passes and only 4 interceptions!! and a total of 3059 yards passing. He needs only 12 more TD passes in the last 6 games to break Peyton Mannings single season mark of 49 and he could become the first QB to throw for 5000 yards in a season. Moss meanwhile caught 10 passes today for 128 yards and 4 TD receptions.
Looked to be a bit of a bizarre finish to the Cleveland v Baltimore game that the Browns won 33-30.

The only team that will beat the Pats, is the Pats.

The end of the Browns/Ravens was bizzare.
Cleveland had a field goal attempt to send the game into OT.
The ball hit the post, then crossbar and rebounded into the field of play.
Everybody walked off thinking Baltimore had won but somebody whispered
into the ear of an official. After review the ball had hit the upright, well behind
the crossbar. Play restarted with about 20 Ravens players in their rooms.
Cleveland got the ball back and drove down to get the winning FG.
Technically the officials did the wrong thing by looking at the FG, which aren't
reviewable. Glad the Browns won though.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Apparently it wasn't actually reviewed but one of the officials who hadn't really spoken up said that yes in fact it did go over the crossbar when they all got together.
Interesting that in another game which I can't recall at the moment that a kick hit the camera that was mounted just behing the crossbar but in this case the officials spotted it straight away.

Observations from NFL Week 12 (Monday Morning US Time)

- Green Bay @ Dallas deserves all the hype of Patriots @ Colts a few weeks ago.
It's on NFL Network which was showed their thanksgiving game on Aussie Fox Sports last week, hoping its on again this Friday Morning. Winner gets inside track for home field advantage in the NFC.

- Tampa & Seattle had close wins and are starting to put some space between them and others in their division.

- Wild Card spots in NFC won't be decided until week 17. Lions and Giants have suddenly hit the skids, Washington, New Orleans, Arizona, Minnesota, Chicago and even Philadelphia could steal a spot with a strong December.

- With a softer final schedule Cleveland have replaced Tennessee as my pick to get an AFC Wild Card joining Jacksonville who are ready to pounce if Colts stagger any further.

- AFC West ... who will win .... who cares ... they should be eliminated at home by a wild card in week one.

- Hester is a freak, another 2 TD returns today (1 Kick & 1 Return) for the Bears.

- Philadelphia gave Patriots a scare but rushed things in the final minutes when they had the ball and a chance for the upset. Don't think the Pats will mind actually having some competition. New England first team to qualify for they playoffs after Buffalo lost to Jacksonville.

- Monday Night Preview - Miami @ Pittsburgh .. Given the Steelers are back at home after an upset loss last week you get the feeling this could be as ugly as the Ravens @ Steelers game a few weeks ago.

Hi Dutchy,

Steelers 16-0 at Home on Monday Night since 1991

Miami are more competitive than their record suggests, ie have lost 5 of their 10 games this by a field goal or less
BUT
Pittsburgh won't be upset by weak teams twice in a row, especially with the Browns npw breathing down their necks.

Only issue is Pittsburghs odds are bound to be very short so might want to look at the head start given and take it.

Maybe a bit of a stretch to suggest someone in his role could possibly win the MVP (Brady and Moss aside) but you could argue that there are only a handful more valuable to their team than Hester.
Were either of his TD's shown anywhere? Didn't see them on the highlights packages that I saw.

Go you mighty Dolphins.

Thought it would be a bit funny if on the 25th anniversary of the perfect season, they went 0-16!
