'A Son' becomes a movie star !
lol

A segment recently filmed for the kids ABC programme BTN.

If you want to watch it - go to this website:

http://www.abc.net.au/abc3/news/#

Click to the side of the 'video clip' to 'watch BTN extra'

Unfortunatley takes while to load - once loaded move forward to the 4:55min mark.

:D

I read in the latest SA Bowler magazine that there are plans to begin a national Premier League competion next season.

Sounds like a bloody awesome concept to me. Would be great to head down to a club in Adelaide somewhere to watch the Adelaide ........ play the Sydney ........

Why would the ABC cut their coverage when this sort of stuff is on the cards??

So I am nearly half way through my rookie season of night owls at Marion (Wed nights) and loving it. Any other posters having a roll down there?

Only 4 U18 chosen out of the whole country - so that's huge !!

U25 - Max Klienig - Yay Maxy !!

Pretty good effort really. Bowls SA seems to be getting their development stuff well sorted now. Wish it was like that when I first started at 15 yrs old.

Wellll some people just hire out the venues and don't bowl (silly I know..lol).
My son was at a 'social event' there on New Years Day - that particular day at Grange is known more for the drinking than the bowling from what I hear!

So was just wondering if you were at the same one :D

just finished my first season of lawn bowls and must admit have totally loved the year
its good at 46 that im one of the younger ones getting around even tho i noticed alot of younger ones taking it up
the best part for me is talking to the old diggers and the stories they have to tell
great experiences that make it worth it
as for the bowls,i will get better but at the moment have a long way to go before i even get reasonable but thats just a by product of a great sport that im loving
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one
