z man grubz 2.5 in motor oil
squidgy wriggler in bloodworm
powerbait minnow in pearl watermelon
ecogear bream prawn in mustard
gulp 3 inch minnow in nuclear chicken

+ tt jig heads to suit 1/40th and up

that would be a good starter pack

squidgies arent a bad start, they are little soft but they do catch fish.

Squidgy jig heads are carp though, so many straightened hooks :(

My first attempt with Soft plastics today .
Started off thinking this is hard why did I bother .Nothing was hiting when i did the lift and drop thing . Was parked in the marina at the Pat and the only hit I got was when the SP was moving from a tiny fish .
Out amongst the rocks i landed a ST while the sp was moving. Then along the steps I needed a new technique .Now I'd watched bewteen 3 and 10 you tube videos and I was trying to think back ended up fishing the SP like a fly . Cast count to 10 a couple of turns let it sink down and repeat got a lot of hits from tiny fish .Lots of snags as well
End of the day I didnt manage half of the pat in my normal style of walking and casting so I made 3/4 of the way around .
And heres what I caught 1 ST,3 bream 2 were 20cm and 1 was 22cm .
First fish on SP ST
Image
Second fish and I was surprised 20cm Bream
Image
Third fish 22cm Bream thought it was larger till i measured it lol
Image
fourth fish on the way back to the car normally dont fish over the same spot on the same trip but it worked
Image

Verdict a hell of a lot of fun and was almost like fly fishing for bream again!!
Can't wait till my Daiwa combo comes way cool with the SP's
Not huge fish but a great start !!!

You will be hooked soon. Anaconda has a 25% off everything sale starting today.

Looks like you have squidgy bug there, good choice. Try a pack of the pro range squidgies to get a tube of S-factor, its seriously good stuff.
