Looking to upgrade my sienna 1000 .Been using my Sadonna 2500.
But I'd prefer to use a 1000 reel . I've looked at some in the 120 to 150 range .
I really like the look of a Pflueger I saw at shock horror Annaconda !!
Cant seem to find it anywhere else to compare prices !!

Any ideas of other reels I could look at . I've looked at a few today at 3 shops.

Cheers
Mick

Hit the Pat again .2 casts and I lost a ST couple of steps latter and landed one . Bit quiet and I landed a tiny Bream.
Then it went dead not a fish to been seen heard or felt . So from halfway on one side of the Pat to half way on the other side .The place was dead .
Wind blowing cold I was thinking of giving up. Then I got a hit a 20cm bream . Two more steps and I landed a 28cm Bream and then almost at the end of my trip another tiny bream .
So it went from hard to good :D

out saturday morning on the water by 6, we tried for some whiting first, got 5 with quite a few undersize we had to throw back and 1 squid. they werent on the bite to well so we went off to try our luck with gar.
That was a good choice, we burlied up and within minutes we had a massive school off the back of the boat. school of squid came through and we got 4 of them aswell. Ended up with 72 gar, 5 whiting, 5 squid and a few tommies, were back at the ramp by 10:30 and knocking back beers by 12. Was a good day!

I love that picture Fisty.
Had some info regarding that neck of the woods on Wednesday actually.
Some fairly ordinary type fishos got 14 legals where I sent them.
Different type of the day I fish normally but that is a fantastic sign.

as a general rule I find dusk or dawn best for squid on the jetty, or just after dark you get a few come through.

I bought a new IKA fluro jag that Im waiting to give a try one night.
Other thing that the guy at Tackleworld said was on that side of the peninsula, try using a jag with some green on it. he reckons they tend to work the best.
