What happened after the match?

Yep, the bigger his muscles have become (ie, the more roids he has pumped in) the less talented he has become in the ring.

Had to stay out of this thread till today as only had time to watch it today, another good ppv, seemed like a larger and noisier crowd than usual, whats the deal with the New Jersey crowd cheering for Petey?
Looking forward to Jarrett being back, big fan of his, has a few kids to look after since the passing of his wife so I was never sure if he'd come back but glad he is!

Impact is not bad this week but we all groaned at what the main event was!! We fast forwarded until the interesting bit at the end of teh match.

ProWrestling.net and PWInsider.com are both reporting that Gail Kim will return to WWE now that she has left TNA.

From wrestlezone.com -

"Sources inside TNA have said this came as a pretty big surprise and although most people knew they were renegotiating her contract, they assumed she would definitely resign with the company. As of the last television tapings last week, there were no farewell parties and she wasn't saying "Goodbye" to anyone in the back. One source said that Gail "wanted guarantees TNA was not willing to give".

On the WWE front, they have apparently changed the trademark on Kim from inactive to active. PWInsider.com is reporting that they offered her a sizable increase in pay to come back. She is free to begin working there as soon as her contract is officially up and you can bet that if she does in fact return, she'll be pushed pretty heavily in the women's division.

Other sources have said that Kim left TNA on very good terms and the door is "always open" for a return in the future. This was more due to financial reasons than Gail being unhappy with the company and the way she's been used or presented on TNA television. Kim's last TNA match is scheduled for tonight's Impact! in a street fight with Awesome Kong".

Well seeing she wanted a women's division and they got one for her .then she leaves .I think TNA has moved past Gail with so many new Shimmer women in TNA .
Perhaps cheerleader Melissa etc will get onto our screens !!

US sites are reporing that Mick Foley has agreed to a contract with TNA Wrestling and will debut with the company after his WWE contract expires on September 1st.

PWInsider.com - "A source indicates that TNA is already working on Mick Foley t-shirts and other merchandise ideas. This would seem to indicate that Foley is headed to TNA".

PWTorch.com - "It has been confirmed that Mick Foley has agreed to a contract with TNA and will debut once his WWE contract expires on September 1, 2008. His signing will have him involved with other Spike TV projects".

The Sun reported in an article at thesun.co.uk -

Mick Foley to wrestle for TNA

"WWE legend Mick Foley will jump to rival wrestling group TNA next month, a close friend has told The Sun. The hardcore icon has become frustrated with his role as a commentator on Smackdown and wants to leave Vince McMahon’s company when his contract expires on September 1".

Taken from WNA

TNA News: Latest on Gail Kim, as her future remains up in the air (w/Keller Analysis)
Sep 3, 2008 - 5:58:41 PM

By Wade Keller, PWTorch editor

PWTorch has learned that Gail Kim has personally reached out to Dixie Carter to see if a deal can be struck for her to return to TNA after all. As PWTorch has reported in multiple instances over the past week, friends have said she felt terrible about leaving TNA, but felt she had to because WWE's offer was at least triple what TNA's supposed final offer was.

Kim did reportedly meet with WWE officials, but has been hestitant to sign a deal with WWE due to her happiness with working for TNA - other than the lowball offer she was given.

From what we understand, neither Kim nor Dixie Carter were happy with the way TNA reps and Kim's reps (lawyers and/or agent) handled the negotiations, and both have decided to at least see if a return could be worked out.

Carter has asked some tough questions to people within TNA lately whom she trusted to handle this part of the business well; there are indications she felt out of the loop and wanted to try to make the situation right.

Keller's Analysis: It's good that TNA may be able to make this situation right. Kim badly wanted to stay with TNA and, as we reported, had to be talked into the only dignified move - walking away from TNA's insultingly lowball offer considering the hard numbers of what she's drawn in her matches on Impact (usually the ighest rated of each show she's on) and her popularity behind the scenes and the respect her colleagues have for her. I've also heard there was a backlash among several TNA wrestlers - women and men - that TNA didn't pay her due respect with a fair-minded renewal offer.

PS2, get 2 free TNA dvds with it, but have to send away a card to get them, there is a choice of 6.

Plus TNA dvds are about to go on sale here in Australia. Don't know when or where yet.

Watched Impact for the 1st time in quite a while at a mate's house, accidentally missed the 1st 20 minutes or so. After a tiresome hour and a half we purposely missed the last 10 or so minutes and watched Liverpool vs Manchester. I'm guessing most episodes are better than what this one was.
