Am I the only person who think Holden stumbled across some early Mitsy 380 drawings?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Nah The VE design process was started in 2000, and orginal prototype drawing was completed in 2000.

The VE supercar is shorter than its roadgoing cousin as its had to have a chop to meet the wheeelbase specs. Who far are they going to go to "even things up"

They have a VY SS done up as the Clipsal 500 chase car @ the SA motorsport board, and today they had a VE SS one, the VE looks unreal when done up in racing style paint.

I saw that chase car outside our work today Sam and it looked good.
Mind you without the Lion badge on the front I would have been thinking someone had chopped a BF Falcon and a Mitsubishi 380 and put them together.

To compare it to other cars, i think it is more a cross between the VX and the VY

The front looks unmistakedly BA-F Falcon
The rear does look VX-Y, which also happened to look like the rear of the last model Magna when it came out.
The side lines look Toyota Camry, with flares added

It is a good looking car though, probably the first time in over 20 years both the current Falcon & Commodore models looked good at the same time

The front headlights are based on the BA headlights, but the back is actually based on an Audi.

This pic is of the 2004 (US) Mitsubishi Galant, they were in Aus from 2004 for R&D, other than a few cosmetic changes (& RHD) the 380 is the same car, Holden wouldn't have had to look very far to see what the Magna replacement was going t o look like over 2 years ago.
Dutchy, I'm sure the US section of Mitsubishi didn't give a rats arse what the VE commodore was going to look like.
