A great year for Ford with the Falcon winning the car of the year ahead of cars like BMWs, etc in many different awards and taking out the Bathurst and Championship double.
Truly YEAR OF THE FALCON!!
I wonder if my red and white Falcon will go up in value? ;)

I couldn't care who won the championship, as long as it is Ford, but in saying that, well done Jamie!! :D

Nah, and no regrets as the salary package lurk was taken away from us about 6 months after we took it up thanks to Krudd.
If'd we'd have waited we would have had to pay full price for a car and not saved the 10k plus we did, stuff that!

:? Come on, surely a 21 year racer in SKAIFE, who broke lots of records and doesn't even get
a mention, who is retiring ,is more important than a ex HOLDEN driver winnining the
championsnship!

Most do give credit where it is due ? :?

agreed.

Skaife WAS a great driver and was probably the best driver of the modern era.

But i do not like him and he comes across as a very arrogant person.

and plus i am a Ford fan, so yeah......

Its not like the guy died, he certainly is a tosser.
It was a very touching photo of him and his son in the paper today though, and he's had a great career and I admire the way he recognised that he was past it and pulled the pin.
I have to giggle everytime I see a Holden fan wearing a Skaife top after knowing the way Holden fans treated him when he drove a Nissan especially at Bathurst when he won with Richards.
I'm a Ford man too but I respect people no matter who they drive for if they deserve it.
I have the utmost respect for Garth Tander and Russell Ingall and used to respect Lowndes and Whincup when they drove Holdens as they seemed genuine guys.
The beautiful part about Whincup winning is Holden fans always screamed when Ford poached their drivers who became successful yet Holden gave Whincup the boot thinking he wasn't good enough.Put him in a decent car and look what happens! :D

Great to see Ford dominating the Top 10 in the final championship standings too showing they're not a one trick pony.
Also great to see a Ford engine dominating over a Chevrolet engine.
I look forward to the new FGs next year as by all reports they'll be quicker than the BF.

The biggest Wanker to race V8's would be Ambrose much bigger dickhead than Skaife. Skaife is a legend of the sport and we will be waiting a long time for another driver to achieve what he has accomplished.

I don't know too many Holden fans that respect Skaife as a person, most think he is a knob, I don't know any Ford fans that have any respect for him
