THIS IS THE REASON WHY MR66
In consultation with the Queensland Rugby League Northern Division and some 'local legends', Ray Miguel and Jimmy Patterson the Cowboys have decided on the 1966 NQ jersey worn against Great Britain in 1966 at the Townsville Sports Reserve.

"In this the Centenary year of Rugby League we believe it is important to acknowledge the past great history in the North Queensland region. With this in mind we picked upon the design from the historic 1966 NQ team who were victorious over the visiting Great Britain side," Parr said.

Fair enough.

AND THIS

For the Heritage Round, the Warriors will wear their red alternate strip from the 1999-2000 seasons.<

Whoever made that decision (NRL/Warriors) hasn't got a clue.

AND FINALLY THIS

The Titans are wearing a jumper based on the design of the Gold Coast Seagulls, but using their current colour scheme, while the Bronco's wear something the resembles their original 88 jumper design, though I reckon it's a pretty poor copy.

Seagulls wore a jumper similar to Hull's uniform with a bit of red in it.
Would have preferred that to what the Titans wore. Yuk.

Thanks for the updates Maggie.

After trailing 12-0 & 16-4 that's a good win in the end.

Back to my jumper review.
Souths looked good without the black/white side stripes that the current uniform has.
I can't remember Balmain ever wearing that EXACT jumper. You can't have a heritage
jumper if you incorporate aspects of a modern design in them.
Eastern Suburbs hooped jumper always looks good.
Newcastle's was a pleasant surprise. I saw initial photos and didn't like it but changed my
mind when I watched the replay.
Melbourne & Canberra's weren't bad without being spectacular.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.
