Nathan Davison was my U/18 baseball coach at Northern Districts. We should never have been promoted up into Div 1, we couldn't even make the finals in Div 2, so it cant have been a performance based decision.

Totally agree. There are some great people around the Northern Districts Baseball Club and the SABL is doing them no favours by making them play Div 1 to make up the numbers. Every comp will have a bottom placed team, we all know that. However Norths aren't just bottom, they get flogged EVERY week. It's not fair on them or the teams they have to play. I think the biggest problem with the Adelaide comp is there are too many clubs. 14 clubs is far to many for a non national sport such as baseball. Perhaps if they reduced the number of participating Div 1 and 2 clubs to 10 the comp would certainly improve. It would also save some of the hard working guys around clubs like Norths the indignity of watching their side get constantly belted. They may even win some flags down in div 3 or 4! Davo was our Div 1 coach in my time at the bay and I'm sure he must be frustrated with the situation as it stands. It's a long drive from the bay out to Norths for whay might as well be a bye.

Haloman - now that all results are known, (and have been for a while now!!!!), could be an idea to remove the pole, or change it to 06/07 season!!!
