Bull Fighting-Bull Strikes Back!

Postby therisingblues » Sat Feb 11, 2006 3:03 am

Probably the cruelest and uneven "sport" that there is. But I saw a clip on TV a couple of days back of a bull fight, and the bull actually jumped into the crowd and lashed out at everybody in sight. I couldn't make out the commentry entirely, but it sounded as though nobody was seriously injured.
In such situations where the bull actually wins the bout, or finds another way out from the pathetically rigged contest it finds itself in, is there a reward for this animal? Or is it rooted no matter what it does once they decide to use it in a Bull Fight?
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Unfortunately theri, this bull met with the fate they all do. Except this one wouldn't have suffered for as long and as painfully as those that stay in the ring - because he got a merciful shot in the head I believe.

So to answer your question, no there is no reward for the animal - win or lose. They don't get to go and live their lives in the pasture and have fun with the heifers...

However, the "sport" is on the decline due to a different and more worldly generation of spaniards who share the distaste of using animals cruelly for sport.
