Just wondering whether regular contributors to particular country footy threads have a preference re - new thread being created for 2013 season for the particular footy league - (in which case existing thread will be locked)....OR continuing with existing thread into next year..?

You can post on here if you have an opinion - in particular if you post regularly on a particular thread, let us know which one it is, when posting your thoughts.

If there is no (negative) feedback re the change, the new threads will be put up in the coming week(s), starting with GSFL.

No preference here

I use the APFL one mainly and it doesn't bother me which way you go.

Country ones are a bit different to the Ammo's (in terms of no relgation), with teams remaining the same (mostly) so I reckon leave them as is, not start new ones.

I would agree with this.

On the EP sports thread, we had one that started in 2006 or something like that, and was locked in 2010 due to a huge number of trolls ruining any point of discussion.
A new thread, with the same posters, talking about the same things, was created by GWW the same day the original thread was locked.
The only thing to make the thread any better or more relevant is to ban posters who 1) troll and or 2) use multiple ID's.

The only thing the new thread achieved was stopping the original EP Sport thread becoming the longest in the regionals forums.

Locking the current thread acheives nothing, it actually makes it more painful (when someone makes a stupid comment at the end of this year about a premiership dynasty beginning, the thread is locked, and their side goes the next season without a win, it's really hard to get in, pick up the quote, and make them look like a tool on the new thread).

Sort of merging two questions into one from this thread.
Taken me long enough to work out the foe function and tapatalk, but my foe posts still show up when using the phone, but hidden on the computer.
Any solution?
