is there a way that when somebody quotes our post, we can be notified? would be specially handy for topics you don't often look at/post in, where on the odd occasion you do post, then don't head back to that thread for a few days/weeks, someone may have "quoted" you and/or asked you a question, but not realised therefore never reply.

There is an option titled 'Notify me upon replies by default:' sounds like it might do the trick...hopefully an Admin can confirm or deny.

i've just gone and edited that setting to "Yes", so we'll see what happens!

also, it's probably been mentioned on here before, but i rekon the good ol' Facebook style "Like" would be a positive addition.

nope. don't think so. i didn't receive any notifications that i can see at least.

I usually check the "View your posts" (top right hand side) and you can quickly see if others have commented on topics you have contributed to.

Doesn't have email alerts, but is one way of tracking threads when there are addtional comments

also, the ability to "tag" another user in your post would come in handy for getting someones attention if you need a specific question answered.
