I remember a day (not long ago), when posting a picture wasn't such a complete pain in the arse.

I've tried to post 10 different pics tonight and all have said something like 'Your image must not be larger than 1000 pixels' or some guff like that.

I can;t be arsed resizing every bloody pic I try to post.

Can we just put it back the way it was? Or at very lest relax it to something like 4000 pixels so it doesn't allow pics that are stupid size, but your everyday happy snap gets through?

Please let common sense prevail so AFLFlyer and the rest of our travel enthusiasts can see Montenegro and the sights of Albania....

Was it the width of the image?
If so I can't remember why or if it was changes so Ive changed it to 4000 at your recommendation.
If a problem arises and we have to change it back Ill let you know via this thread.
Thanks for your suggestion. :)

OK, I'm a bit slow on the uptake at the best of times, but I've just figured out how to easily re-size my images on imageshack.

So Wedgie, perhaps reign in the photo limits to about 1500-2000 pixels.

I uploaded my happy snaps in their original size from the camera and it royally messed up the site (which you were going to ban me for!!! ;) ). So I quickly pulled them off* and re-uploaded with a reduced size.

Anyhoo, if anyone else is a bit up against it when it comes to the grey stuff, let me know and I'll post the instructions on resizing with image shack.

Using the [img][/img] function, I can't seem to post photos from my Picasa web album anymore as it keeps coming up with "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image."

Any idea why this might be so?

I'll have to leave that one for Diss Quichey, did a quick google and answers were varied from issues with the hosting site to settings on our server to mods required.

I have the problem occasionally with facebook, I just copy it to my hard drive and add it as a file to my post.

The above link works if I try to embed it using the [img][/img] function. It's from a photo I posted about a year ago that still exists on my web album.

However, when trying to embed the same photo now it gives me the below link, which doesn't work.

****** if I know what's going on.

Why can't I post pics without some form of text (smilies included)? I try to post a pic by itself and it always says I need some form of text, most of the time I just put a smily face and that works fine but why do I need text with the pic?

Probably an inbuilt rule so people don't just spam pics.

I just run pix through the free EMCO Photoresizer software I downloaded years ago.
It is easy to use as it doesn't do anything else but resize them.
