I have to admit to having reservations about being affiliated with an organisation that has such an area - even hidden - on its site.
I suspect other organisations I belong to like my medical College may have a problem with it if it became public information that it was there and I was a member of the site, even though not of the sub-group.
I'd have to think about that if it goes ahead... :(
