After watching him on TV and videos for years, I finally saw the legend play a charity match in Elizabeth one day several years.

Michael Parkinson once said that the greatest tragedy was that George Best would never know how good he could have been.

That's a pretty scary thought considering Best was a genius on the football field. The great Pele said he was the best player he ever saw. Maradona idolised him.

It's amazing he lasted this long the way he punished his body.
One of the greats, probably only behind Pele and Maradona.

As much as Im a big Man Utd supporter I wish George the best of luck in the heavens and you'll be playing on the biggest stage of football with the gods! RIP
