First bit of transfer business for the club...

is this a season of consolidation or looking from promotion? I'd say consolidating and bit of strengtherning in certain areas and not this season but next time for a promotion push.

Looking for promotion ID...
Once again, we'll have the biggest crowds, a top 5 budget and we have made it hard for teams to break us down at home...
That being said, we'll probably start terribly, sack the manager (again) and finish 18th - 20th ...
It's time to get out of this sh1thole league, and not via relegation, but promotion...

Yeah don't think Bradford in the Conference just wouldn't look right at all. For some reason something always seems to go wrong and it seems 15-20 is where you finish but I feel Bradford should be a championship team at a minimum, oh well good luck to you and hope you start a charge up the divisions.

Not sure about that mate. City's Home record was dreadful last year. Too often it's the visting team that lifts at Valley Parade instead of the hosts!

Tend to disagree here...
Last season we Won 10, Drew 10 and lost 6 at home...
Pretty solid really...

But when you consider that City draw by far the biggest home crowds in the division the players should have been lifting in front of the fans and converting a few of those draws into wins. A 38% win record at home given the big stadium and massive home support is a bit disappointing for mine.

David Syers has rejected a new contract with the club and has signed with Doncaster Rovers...
http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/sportbcfc/9762534.Syers_quits_Bradford_City_for_Doncaster_Rovers/Was plucked from non-league obscurity by the Bantams 2 years ago and has now gone to LG1.
Disappointed we couldn't keep him...

Things are starting the heat up for City with regards to signings...
Gary Jones, Rochdale's Captain has joined on a Free for a season (so far). He's 35 years old, but played over 50 games last season, so hopefully the City curse doesn't strike him and he becomes a sicknote.
Gary JonesHave re-signed Luke Oliver who won pretty much every award for the club last season. Signed a 2 year contract extension...
Luke OliverHave signed a young Aussie Left Back from York City, James Meredith...
James MeredithAnd finally the Jewell in the Crown...
The DL

Will Atkinkson, a loan player for us last year (who by all accounts was terrible) has joined on a 1 year contract...
I hope he knows what he's doing...Plus there is another "Big Name" in the frame for signing up in the next couple of days...

Well we are turning into the Man City of League 2. Well we don't actually pay for anyone but we're making a few signings.
Two more into the team today....
Stephen Darby - 23 Year Old, former Liverpool right back.
Garry Thompson - 31 yo, right winger from ****. (love it you can't type in the name Scun-thorpe without the filter kicking in)
Double Trouble

It's been a while and I'm sure you're all waiting for the latest updates...
Well the Bantams have signed a new striker, was Swindon's top scorer last year in their promotion but Paulo didn't like him so he was release from his contract.
Allen ConnellThe team has had two trial games so far...
Tadcaster Roversand then the 1st of two trial games in Ireland...
Wexford Youths

Allen ConnellNot a bad pick-up there. If Connell maintains his goal scoring form from last season it might help City convert some of those Home draws into wins!

There is a constant push for City to get a 15-20 goal a year striker and while I'm sure it would help, last season 2 of the top 3 scorers in the league played in teams that were relegated...
We need a better spread of where the goals come from and I reckon we have sorted that this year...

After another couple of friendly wins and a hammering at the hands of Bury, the Bantams started "competitive" football with a 1-0 extra-time win over Notts County away from home.
James Hanson scored a great goal in the 95th minute...
