Coventry have been busy -

Aston Villa left-back Stephen O'Halloran has joined Coventry City on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old Republic of Ireland international has agreed a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months at the Ricoh Arena.

Gary McSheffrey returns to Coventry City

Coventry City have announced former striker Gary McSheffrey is set to rejoin the club on 1 July.

McSheffrey's contract with Birmingham City is due to expire and he has agreed a one-year deal at the Ricoh Arena with the option of a further year.

The Coventry-born forward scored 53 times for the Sky Blues after making his debut at 16 against Aston Villa.

McSheffrey, 27, moved across to St Andrew's in 2006 helping Blues reach the Premier League in his first season.

But a persistent knee injury meant McSheffrey struggled to feature for the Blues first team of late and he was recently sent out on loan to Leeds United.

"I feel at this stage of my career he's the manager who can help me move forward as a player and that's why I've signed," he added.

Coventry will begin their 10th season outside of the Premier League when they kick-off the new campaign against Portsmouth at the Ricoh Arena in August.

Leeds Manager Simon Grayson has signed a 3 year deal to stay with Leeds. IMO one of the best up and coming managers in England. Has won two promotions from League 1 to Championship (firstly with Blackpool.. look where they are now... and Leeds). Great news!

Leeds have signed Stephen Caulker on loan from Spurs. He's only a young bloke, but he's got loads of potential.

Sounds like he's been signed as a CB/DM while Kisnorbo is injured.

Cheers for that DA.

I've heard Kisnorbo may be out until January, which means we could be in for a tough season.

It will be good to get someone fresh in and give him experience in championship football to hopefully help him make the Spurs first team in years to come.

We're definitely VERY light on in terms of midfielders, so hopefully our Chairman will let us spend some money!

JAMES EYES PREMIER LEAGUE RETURN

David James is targeting a return to the Premier League with Bristol City after feeling that remaining in top-flight football was impossible at this stage of his career.
The England goalkeeper, who celebrates his 40th birthday on Sunday, turned down offers from Premier League clubs and Scottish giants Celtic in favour of signing a one-year deal at Ashton Gate.
It is a marriage of convenience for James, who lives in the south west in Exeter, as he realigns his priorities following a turbulent time at former club Portsmouth.

ROBINS SNAP UP HUNT AND STEWART

Bristol City have bolstered their defensive options with the signings of Nicky Hunt and Damion Stewart.
Right-back Hunt, 26, has signed a two-year deal and arrives on a free transfer after ending his 10-year association with Bolton.
Hunt made 161 appearances for the Trotters, his last outing coming in March 2008 against Arsenal at the Reebok Stadium.
Manager Owen Coyle told the club's official website: "Nicky is a terrific lad but obviously his opportunities have been limited here. We wish him well at Bristol City."
City paid Championship rivals QPR an undisclosed fee for Jamaica international Stewart, 29, and the centre-back has signed a three-year contract.
Stewart joined Rangers from Bradford in 2006 and made more than 150 appearances for the London club.
The pair take the number of new signings at Ashton Gate to four following the arrival of Kalifa Cisse and Albert Adomah from Reading and Barnet respectively.
