Reading on the brink of another FA Cup upset.

After falling a goal behind in 1st half injury time, they equalised with a 93rd minute penalty to take the tie to extra time then went on to take the lead 11 minutes into the 1st period of extra time

Newcastle made it easy with a 3 - 0 win over Plymouth

Royals win at Anfield.
that's 3 CCC sides that have knocked Pool out of the FA Cup in 5 years, starting with Burnley, then Barnsley and now Reading.

Poor old Liverpoo......only kidding.....hahahahahahahahahaha.
Fans turning on Rafa on the Sky sports commentary.

One toolbag from Australia commented 'Does anyone know the address of the Liverpool FC Head Office? I'd like to return my Liverpool shirts'.

What a donkey. Maybe we can chuck liverpool well into the plastic fan category too.

Reading v Burnley 4th round, in a repeat of the 2nd leg of the play off's last year and after watching this tonight I think I would rather be playing Liverpool.

They weren't that hot when Torres and Gerrard were on but without them pool were woeful

I forgot to say that Torres was taken off injured after 29 minutes and Gerrard didn't return after half time but it clearly wasn't planned because Babel went to the subs bench and had to quickly get kitted off.

News is that Torres has twisted his knee and they will wait until he has tests tomorrow to find out how serious it is.

And liverpools goal was an own goal btw.

Fans not happy at Anfield either. A lot of empty seats there tonight and the loudest noise came at the end with the boos

3rd Round replay's

Liverpool 1 Reading 2 (aet)
Newcastle 3 Plymouth 0

Reading produced a stunning 2-1 FA Cup third round replay victory at Anfield as Liverpool's disastrous season went from bad to worse.
Liverpool had led through a first-half effort from Steven Gerrard which was deflected home by Reading defender Ryan Bertrand.
The Reds lost both Gerrard and Fernando Torres to injuries before the Coca-Cola Championship side equalised with a Gylfi Sigurdsson penalty in injury-time to force the extra half hour, in which substitute Shane Long headed the winner.

Hat-trick hero Peter Lovenkrands fired Newcastle into the FA Cup fourth round as the Magpies extended their unbeaten run to 13 games with a 3-0 win over Plymouth.
The former Denmark international made the most of two fine first-half deliveries from winger Jonas Gutierrez and then converted Kevin Nolan's 72nd-minute cross to book his side a trip to Coca-Cola Championship promotion rivals West Brom six days after the two sides meet in the league at St James' Park.
Newcastle forced their way in front with 10 minutes gone when Andy Carroll and Lovenkrands combined on halfway to find Gutierrez, and when the Argentinian slid the ball into the Dane's intelligent run, he produced a deft left-foot finish to beat keeper Romain Larrieu.

The former Rangers frontman helped himself for a second time with five minutes of the half remaining when he headed the South American's cross firmly home despite Larrieu's best efforts.
Gutierrez flashed a stinging 61st-minute shot just wide of the far post after Pancrate, Lovenkrands and Carroll had combined to set him up, but the third goal arrived with 18 minutes remaining.
Carroll headed the ball down to Nolan, who in turn fed Lovenkrands to volley home his third.

BTW, I'll bet Rafa is copping shite over there from the same fans who had previously been complaining about him not fielding strong enough lineups, wonder how long we'll be without the big 2 now

It's not working out 'champ'. Out of the FA Cup after a deplorable home display and we have hit rock bottom. Lucky I didn't make a sweeping statement declaring we were going to 'smash' Reading as you did with League One Leeds...Take note of my use of the word might.

You see RM, I can say 'we' because I'm not a glory hunting, bandwagon jumping, two team supporting weed of a human being like yourself. I'll cop the wind up from you because I did it myself a week or so ago, so fair do's, but I am replying to you because there is a fair chance I am back to see your comment thus the reply.

I'll never waver from my support for Liverpool Football Club, I have been with them through the highest of high's, endured the lowest of low's and it's all been worthwhile because unlike many United 'fans', I didn't jump on when they starting winning things or because they sell 'Man U' bedspreads at K Mart.

Whopper.
