Well everything comes down to the last week. Chelsea are in the box seat after winning at Liverpool whilst United keep the pressure on after taking the points against the Cats.

Both are at home next week which stacks the odds even more in Chelsea's favour having dropped only 4 points all season at Stamford Bridge. United's home form is equally impressive with 2 draws and a defeat. Unfortunately that solitary defeat was at the hands of Chelsea.

Chelsea entertain Wigan who are safe now and haven't had a particularly good year in the capital, so I wouldn't expect any upsets. In fact it wouldn't suprise me to see Chelsea finish of in a roar and try to beat thier two 7 goal games.

United will go all out to keep the pressure on but even though Stoke are also safe, I think the Potters will try to get one over the Old Trafford mob, and theyt are a much tougher proposition than Wigan. I think it would be true to say that every club (except Wolves) raise thier game when they go to OT.

Gerrard is a disgrace. Before the game he says that Liverpool want to win the game then he gifts Drogba the opener. Surely he could have disguised it a bit better than that??

That is the closest he will get to winning the EPL though...

Agree 100%.
Then he did his best not to show his excitement. Hands on head, trying to look disgruntled, but you just knew he was ecstatic inside.

I liked the scousers outside holding the banner which read:

Gary Neville

OR

Chelsea FC

Champions?

Is it just me, or have Man U and Chelski seemed more vulnerable than previous seasons. In the past you just expect them to win every game, but so often this season they have struggled. I'd love to see Wigan and Stoke play a part in changing the final placings!

On clubs raising their game when they go to OT - Spurs don't. We allways lube up, bend over and beg for penetration. And usually the refs jump on for a good old rodgering before beetroot face and his primadonnas line up for sloppy seconds.

Might have been the best thing Gerrard has done all season.

I don't think I can recall a season of any sport (ok maybe thats a lie with the Legs form of recent seasons) I have wanted to see finish faster than this current one - Has been like Groundhog day so many times over this season.

I guess though, in SG's defence, Man U supporters can whinge about him all they like but it's not SG's fault Man U aren't leading the league.

Him gifting a goal pretty much handed Chelsea the title. All it is doing is delaying the inevitable though. ;)

Liverpool to get investigated for match fixing and demoted to the Blue Square North.

This is what it's like to be a Spurs fan mate.
If our Spurs forum made money based on the number of times a member posted 'There's always next year' or some other variation of that theme, it'd be worth more than Google!!!

Worryingly for Liverpool, next season isn't looking like it will be any brighter than 2009/2010 at this stage.

Think it depends on who buys us mate ... If it's the DIC I reckon there's a pretty healthy chance they'd inject more transfer $$ than we've had at our disposal in the last 4 years combined.

Yeah, the DIC buying is the best option for LFC, but the seppos will demand top dollar as soon as any arabs get involved simply because of what's happened at Citeh.

It would be a disaster if Torres was sold (unless it's to Spurs ;) ).

Yeah I would imagine they would push for top dollar, I guess the thing they would need to be careful of, is that they would have a timeframe by when the sale would need to be completed, and their excessive demands on the sale front previously saw the DIC walk twice .. I reckon after having their bluff called twice they surely couldn't expect to hold the DIC over a barrel.

Oh yeah, that's right. You've had a real shocker only finishing 7th at worst and a Europa semi final. I don't know how you have managed to keep going under the strain.

Just a side note.

Brian Laws has been manager at two clubs that have been releagated this year. Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday. The only difference between them is the Owls had the good sense to sack him

2004 was a stinker for LFC wasn't it? Finished something like 7th when the Gooners fluked that season?

Nah, they finished 5th that year. Finished 7th in 98/99 and 8th 93/94 though. But lets be honest, Liverpool haven't exactly set the league on fire for sometime. Apart from a fluke 2nd last year, they have only finished in the top two one other time in 17 years
