but whom would that be, maybe duff and owen but i dont see any others. i think viduka is overated , can do some good things but is not consistant enough

Martins is pretty handy and im sure a few premier league teams could do with a striker with his pace and skill.

Im sure a team like Sunderland, Hull, Wolverhampton, Birmingham could do with a player like Viduka even if he was just adding depth.

I think his name is Enrique or something like that, the commentators kept saying how is would win there fans player of the year.

Other players maybe Nicky Butt, Bousong, Joey Barton(i know comes with baggage)

Barton has one good thing, he can play but hes a complete wa_ker. Losses his head to much and tackles hard . dont think amny teams would want him around their clubs i know i wouldnt.

Not on his wages of GBP 50k per week.

He'd be mad to leave and other clubs would be equally as mad to pick him up.

Bit unfair imo DA. Duff was sensational at b4st4rds which earn't him his £21m move to Chavski. He's done ok for Toon but when you think how the team played as a whole then no matter how good he is, he ain't stand out.

News is, he wants to stay and I would be suprised if they moved him out unless they got an offer they couldn't refuse. I might be a different case in two years when thier parachute payments run out.

To be fair to the team, how the hell were they supposed to perform. 3 managers in the same year, a spell with a temp manager, then one of them goes down with heart trouble so his assistant has to step in. Are they selling or are they not, Mike Ashley has been a complete arse and all in all the team are expectred to perform with all that instability.

Sure some of them were shite and there for the $$$$$, and I count Owen in that crew, but I don't think the blame should be placed on the teams shoulders for the mess they are in now.

There's been a couple of buy-outs in the EPL overnight.

Ellis Short has taken control of Sunderland following his buyout of all other shareholders in November. From Wikipedia:

"Ellis buying the club makes Sunderland the 4th club in the English Premier League to have American owners along side Aston Villa, Manchester United and Liverpool. Some reports are stating that Ellis Short will give Sunderland 200 million pounds for the 2009/2010 season. It was revealed on 21 February 2009 that his controlling interest in Sunderland Football Club played a role in the departure of Roy Keane from the club.[5] On the 27th May 2009 Ellis assumed 100% control of the club"

  200m will buy a LOT of players, but IMO, Sunderland will have the same problem as Man Citeh/Newcastle (well not quite the same problems as Newcastle ;) )

Dubai based billionaire Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim has bought Pompey and has plans to make them a 'great club'. He was involved in brokering the deal for Man Citeh last year, but has decided he wants a piece of the fantasy football action. It's being reported that he wants to bring in Sven as manager after his sacking from the Mexican job.

Obviously there's some silly money entering he game, but IMO, the only thing I can see changing is if Roman drops the bundle at Chavski and pulls his funds, which will allow a new fantasy manager to buy up and take the spot.

It's all getting a bit silly now though. This will make nearly half the clubs in the top flight owned by internationals. Man Yoo, Liverpool, Chavski, Villa, Citeh, Sunderland, Pompey, half of Ar5ena1, West Ham etc etc.

all this talk of takeovers and clubs having so much money thrown at them cant be good for the league. stupid amounts of tranfer fees and match payments will make it so difficult for teams coming up to the premier league and harder for clubs that dont have the funds.
