Clearly you saw none of the Championship last season and to be honest how Derby did not win the playoff final is a question even the QPR fans still asking
Saw tons of championship games last season and you were the best by some and played some really good football but this season is a differant ball game and the facts are that since the EPL started in a fair majority of seasons the playoff winners of the Championship have finished higher than the Champions and runners up, dont ask me why but its just happens, I cant explain it. The ammount of times ive seen Championship winners come up on the back of great seasons only to go straight back down is staggering. For your sake I hope you guys buck the trend and stay up.
I remember everyone saying the same thing about Cardiff last year and how bad Palace would be ( including me ) and yet Palace finished in a respectable position and Cardiff was a joke
Foxes promised £180m in transfer funds although not seen anything like it spent so far. QPR have money to burn and the new manager will blow £m' s in the January window when it's too late.
Clarets have no money and no big money backers so we will have to get by on cast off' sand the managers judgement. Taylor and, god forbid I say it, Reid will both add heaps of experience at the back and in midfield. Dyche is a shrewd cookie and taking Sordell might be a waste of time or a master stroke but either way it won't cost us much financially.
As always, we are already preparing for the worst case and won't break the bank on promises and contracts that we can't afford. McCormack was a no go because of his wage demands, as is Deeney for the same reason. The Derby lad who was desperate to sign for us decided he wasn't that interested in premiership football afterall once Derby increased his wages from £6k a week to £18k and a five year contract. Good luck with that one Derby.
We have to be frugal because if the worst case happens and we go down we won't have the resources to finance big contracts. One thing is for sure, with Sean andy he in charge we won't be that gung-ho side from the last premiership escapade under Judas. Hand I think that might be the foundation for survival thus season.
Whatever happens, proud to be a claret, and another hell of an achievement considering we were 2nd favour it's to go down last year. 2/1 on this year
