A report said they were ready to break the club transfer record of £15m to get him. I was amazed that such a powerful side has never signed a player for more than that.
Sure, it helps that they have the resources to pay big wages but you have to admire Arsene Wenger's shrewdness in the market. He doesn't squander money.

Yep. Moyes returns from holidays next week and wants an answer ASAP.
