Some interesting games coming up with plenty of opportunities for the "minnows" to progress. there are four ties that don't involve EPL sides and a couple of ties where non EPL sides have a great chance of knocking thier more illustrious counterparts.

I can see both Everton and Bolton going out. Tie of the round? Spurs v Leeds maybe

i reckon southampton vs ipswich is the match of the round :D

If Millwall and Brentford both get through their replays, that could be a nit of a nasty affair. Both sets of fans are proper nutters.

I think the game against Spurs will be our last in the FA Cup this season, but if we keep Beckford and Kisnorbo is fit and playing well, you never know. We even started our best midfielder on the bench in Snodgrass.

I'd rather play at Leeds than Newcastle or Wolves! But both will probably be top flight next season, so that's a fair lure.

Was it snodgrass who came on a hit that blinder of a free kick that very nearly snuck into the top corner? Whoever it was, Beckham would have been impressed by that one.

Plus, with a good core squad and a great manager, i think we're on the way back to where we belong.

You're right. It was Snodgrass that came on and hit that free kick. He's having a great season by all reports. He was awesome against Liverpool in the Carling Cup earlier this season. Played a blinder that day.
It's Somma Time!

Can someone please explain how Man Citeh are shorter than Spurs and Villa?

Duffy and his men obviously didn't watch Spurs demolition job of the Arab fantasy side a few weeks back.

The embarassing thing is that we've spent more on our current squad than all those clubs listed except Chelski.

Funnily, I think that Spurs do well in the cup in a year that finishes in a 0.

1960 - 61
1970 - 71
1980 - 81
1990 - 91

Oh sorry, 70/71 was Aresnal ;)

Hope you're right mate, although that trend looks like we'll be waiting until next season.

But if that coincides with the 50th anniversary of us winning the league, it'll be worth the wait for us to do the double again next year.

FA Cup 3rd round delayed games

Bristol City 1 Cardiff 1
Birmingham 1 Nottm Forest 0
QPR 2 Sheff Utd 3
Coventry 1 Pompey 2 aet.
Derby 1 Millwall 1 Derby win 5 - 3 on penalties

Crisis club Portsmouth completed a dramatic come-from-behind victory to go through to the fourth round of the FA Cup, beating Coventry 2-1 after extra-time.
Portsmouth scored a last-minute equaliser in normal time and then scored in time added on in the second half of extra-time to knock the Sky Blues out at Ricoh Arena.
Coventry took the lead through Leon Best's superbly taken half-volley in the first half as the Sky Blues striker turned to smash a delightful effort into the top corner from the edge of the area.
But as the match moved into injury time, a mix-up at the back saw the unfortunate Wright head into his own net.
Then, with penalties looming, Aaron Mokoena got up for a corner to head home and break Coventry hearts.

Birmingham were on the backfoot for long periods but Barry Ferguson's first goal for the club saw them beat Nottingham Forest 1-0.
Ferguson scored against the run of play in the 61st minute as Christian Benitez teed up the Scot for a powerful left-footed shot.

Sheffield United almost blew a 3-0 lead but went through with a 3-2 win at QPR, thanks to two goals in the space of three second-half minutes from Jamie Ward and Richard Cresswell.
After Lee Williamson had opened the scoring with a neat turn and shot in the 19th minute, Ward added a second and Cresswell the third in the 68th and 70th minutes.
QPR were not done yet as Akos Buzsaky got one back from the penalty spot after a Derek Geary handball before Damion Stewart headed home in the 88th minute.
But the hosts could not find an equaliser as they bowed out of the competition.

Derby beat Millwall 5-3 on penalties after the two sides finished normal time tied at 1-1.
After a goalless 90 minutes, Millwall took the lead with Steve Morison prodding home after Dave Martin's shot was blocked in the 108th minute.
But Derby quickly responded as Steve Davies lobbed the goalkeeper to level the tie.
Danny Schofield saw his penalty saved by Stephen Bywater midway through the shoot-out, leaving Dean Moxey to seal the win with a placed shot into the bottom left-hand corner.

Bristol City and Cardiff face a further fixture congestion as their rearranged third-round tie will go to a replay thanks to Gavin Williams' dramatic injury-time equaliser.
Cardiff thought they had won it with Michael Chopra's stunning 76th-minute goal.
With heavy snow falling at Ashton Gate, Chopra took advantage of a clearance that rolled to a stop to fire in a long curling shot from the right wing.
But two minutes into time added on the ball fell for Williams on the edge of the area and he lashed a shot through the crowded box to find the bottom left-hand corner
