United back on top!

Good 5-0 in with Own Goal scoring a hat trick on the 52nd anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster.

DA my point is that your saying that your tottenham is 'up' for the game and or challenge against arsenal at the lane in april or when ever it is. My point is saying ok maybe you are 'up' for this match but this means you guys werent 'up' for the other games in the past 10 years that you havent beaten us?? What is so different in this match then the past ten years without anything in the EPL against us? you guys werent 'up' for those games?? you guys didnt care about those matches in the past ten years until now??

your not making any sense??

Last time it was Sunderland v Charlton with 3 Cats own goals, but I think it was around 2003.

Funnily, the highest number of own goals scored in a game anywhere in the world was during Adama's 149 - 0 win over Olympique in the Madagascar league. All 149 goals were own goals as Olympique repeatedly put the ball in there own net in protest at a referee's decision.

Yeah, I was a major doubter. They've done ok but still look fragile to me. It didn't do them any harm that City, Spurs and Villa all dropped points although city have a game in hand.

Fragile? Surely you jest JTC? Liverpool played with 10 against 11 for more than an hour, against a team that were unbeaten in 9 league games, without three nailed on starters in Benayoun, Torres and Johnson. In recent wins over Spurs, Villa and Everton they have showed everything but fragility. Sure, the attacking football they were playing last season is still missing but the good old fashioned work rate and ticker is seemingly back within the squad.

A huge test in North London on Wednesday against a wounded Arsenal awaits. Pick up a win there (granted it's a tough place to go and our record both there and at Highbury stinks) and suddenly Liverpool are within a point of an opponent that just ten days ago was being talked up as a real title chance.

The Reds are coming up the hill, boys..............

everton may have been great in the past few weeks but played like rubbish against LFC in the derby IMO. Cahill was probably the best out of the lot, their new player donovan looked lost, arteta first game for ages? fellani just had a hot head and pinear not good either so yes arsenal are wounded but not out of the game look forward to a great game tho

Not a game for the purists that one. What it lacked in finesse, it made up for in passion though.
I still can't believe Liverpool won that.

did Portsmouth have two players sent off in the 11th minute?!? if that is the case how the heck did Sunderland not smash them...

happy with the Potters effort, still unbeaten in 2010 with Man City at Brittania this weekend. i reckon we'll split the points there too. just gotta keep Tevez quiet...

Great HANDBALL by that cheat Fabregas in the 94th minute that SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PENALTY.

Seriously, that one put Maradonna's hand of god to shame.

Cheating, cheating Arsenal.

Liverpool can feel hard done by not to come away with a point in my opinion. The turning point for me was Carra going off injured, up to that point Liverpool dealt with Arsenal very comfortably. Degen is not up to standard and that substitution hurt us, although Rafa had no choice there. Had Carra stayed on the pitch, the gaffer could have brought Babel on earlier and things might have turned out differently as when the Dutchman did come on, he caused the Gunners some problems and the home side were penned in their own half.

The gamesmanship from Fabregas at the end was poor, he wasted over a minute not going back into the wall that was never added on and how Mr. Webb didn't see the blatant handball is beyond me. It wasn't a peno, but Gerrard should have had another free kick ten yards closer and who knows.

Another disappointing trip to North London, but the Redmen will fight on and the corner has been turned. If that fixture had of been played prior to Christmas we would have been turned over 3-0. Not too much damage done in the table with Spurs losing at Wolves. Onto Eastlands in a week in a half for what I believe is a far bigger game than this mornings.

Great performance by Everton this morning.

United won a point, Villa is a tough place to travel and we fell behind. Nani was also sent off after half an hour so it was a handy point.

Own Goal scored yet again, in fine form this season for United and I saw a hilarious post by a City fan on another forum when he said City will be making a 100 million pound bid for Own Goal.

Spurs hunt for Champs League football continues to falter.. Wolves completing the double over them.

It is a disgrace that Arsenal are still in the title race, they really shouldn't be there but I guess with 3 teams in the running it makes it a little more interesting.

I thought it was definitely a pen. Fabregas was a yard inside the box.

Webb should have shown Fabregas a yellow well before he did. Allowing him to blatantly waste a minute was disgraceful. he should then have been off for that handball.
