What about Fulchester United,
The football team featured in 'Billy the Fish' comics of VIZ Magazine?
(Not recommended for the little tackas though!) :butthead:

That was disgraceful!

It's pretty much the standard sledge when Tottenham is playing.

If the Spurs v United game is televised on foxtel after Sundays game, listen out for MU supportings singing their stupid f*ing song about 'yids' or 'Yiddos'.

FYI on 'yid'

"Yids" or "Yiddos" began to be used in the 1980s, mainly by rival Arsenal fans because of the large Jewish population in the Haringey/Stamford Hill area. The Spurs fans made the nickname a badge of honour by calling themselves the "Yids" or "Yiddos".

The term Yids derives from the Jewish supportership of THFC. Coming from the language Yiddish, it is a slang term for a Jew. There is a large Jewish population near to the area Spurs play in and they have traditiionally followed Tottenham although now quite a lot support Arsenal too (their chairman and some of their directors are Jewish also).

Having had this thrown at Spurs as a derogatory term, the supporters of the club adopted it as an unofficial nickname and also so that it would not have the same effect if other clubs shouted it in an anti-Semitic manner.

Therefore, Spurs fans chant "Yids" and "Yid Army!" to deflect the racist attacks of other clubs.

Leicester City (unfortunately  ). Struggling to hang into the exclusive group of only 9 English clubs never have dropped below the top 2 flights of English football. Despite having a state of the art stadium, strong attendances and good "cup" form they are looking at the bomb shelter and relegation to the third flight if they don't pull their fingers out!

I had got used to (or resigned to!) them going up and down (Championship to Premiership and vice versa) like the young bride's nightie but now they are like the old hookers nightie - ocassionally up but mostly down!

They haven't recovered from Martin O'Neill leaving for Celtic a few years back.

Birmingham City!!!! mainly because Stan Lazaridis played there! but now they have Nik Bendtner on loan from Arsenal and bought Gary McSheffery from Coventry... 2 names to look out for! In the lower leagues i like Rotherham and Macclesfield because there always the underdogs...

EPL is tough for me.

Have been to see games at Highbury (Arsenal), Elland Rd (Leeds) and Bradford. Lived in London and Yorkshire for a while. Also like Blackburn Rovers primarily for their Harlequin strip and also because Alan Shearer was such a good striker.

Thanks for the 3 posts there Squawk! Just making sure we didn't anything?

Lucky man having seen a match at Highbury. Was it a league game or a cup/european game?

Very few people ever have the priviledge of watching the Arse play live. Despite being a Tottenham fan, I'm very keen to sneak into a game at Emirates when I'm in London later this year. I've gotta see Henry play live - the man is a genius! I'll have to remember not to wear my Spurs strip - don't want to get lynched!

Will also definately go to White Heart Lane to see the Spurs. Have been wanting to do this since I was a kid. I just hope that the games I manage to get into aren't 4-0 drubbings like this week!
