We play Stoke this week don't we?
If we don't get a win there, we might as well start planning for the CCC.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Sunderland 32 32
Newcastle 32 30
Middlesbrough 32 30
WBA 32 25

Out of the bottom 10, Pompey have a game in hand with 7 left, the rest have 6.

Wigan & Spurs have hit the 40 point "safety" barrier so DA can breath a little easier.

Stoke have only dropped a game in the past 6. Drew 2 won 3. Currently the 6th best form side in the EPL.

The two worst sides are Sunderland (1 point from past 6) & Newcastle (2 points from past 6).

SIDE NOTE:Villa have only picked up 2 points as well....what a fall from grace !!

If the sides perform like they have in the past 6 games, for the next 6 then we'll see
Sunderland, Newcastle & WBA relegated !!

Watch 'em go nuts Tyne side in the Championship

Goo work Jabber.

IMHO, the bottom 3 is already decided and will stay as is. The Geordies, Boro and Baggies are easily the worst 3 teams in the prem.

Bloody newcastle better not continue their hoodoo over us this weekend and kick start a run to stay up. They've done us 7 times straight.

Well some BIG results saw a couple of side breath a little easier.

Boro picked up a vital point as it strives to stay up thanks to a Nil all with Fulham.
Pompey drew level with Bolton on 37 points by defeating them 1 nil. Both should be safe.
Stoke are safe after a 1 nil win over relegation threatened Blackburn.
Sunderland hopped over Hull after a 1 nil victory. Both teams need a win to stay up.
Newcastle are just about gone. Lost 1 nil to Spurs and are now 4 points from safety.
Man City have made the safety zone of 40 points with a 4-2 win over relegation bound WBA.

Stoke City 33 for 39 points
Bolton 33 37
Portsmouth 32 37
Sunderland 33 35
Hull City 33 34
Blackburn 33 34
Middlesbr 33 31
Newcastle 33 30
West BA 33 25

We're in trouble (Blackburn) but can rely on our own results to stay up.

Arsenal should be Middlesborough
Portsmouth hopefully will get over Newcastle
and I'm hoping for an upset with WBA beating Sunderland!!!

Given our recent form, nothing is certain.

Sad but true gadj. And Toon drew 0 - 0 with pompey last night, so it looks like the bottom 3 will be the bottom 3 with games running out.

Well, now the top end of the table is sorted out, attention immediately turns (especially for us Liverpool supporters!) to the relegation battle, and as is often the case, it's looking like going down to the last day of the season. At half time, Fulham lead the Toon 1-0 at St James' Park after the home team looked the most likely to open the scoring with Martins hitting the upright, before Kamara quietened the home fans with a goal after 40 mins. Middlesbrough (courtesy of Tuncay) lead Villa 1-0 at the Riverside, and Hull trail Bolton by the same scoreline, leaving it all to play for in the second half!

Downing off with a serious foot injury (skysports saying it's a metatarsel). King on so Southgate is going for it.

Hull on top of Bolton despite the goal deficit so the 2nd half will be interesting. Bolton just as likely to catch Hull on the break as the Tigers push more forward in search of the equaliser. Brown for some reason is playing Kilbane at CB on Kevin Davies, which is odd considering Kilbane has never played CB in his life, and this could be Hull's undoing

Toon just had a goal disallowed.

Hull has just scored fro Hull 1 -1

Your thoughts on the red card JTC? The ball seemed to be tracking away from the goal, and Kamara (won't the Toon Army be cursing his name!) would have had some work to do to get in on goal.

I think Australia show far more EPL games than we get on TV here.

It's almost too many! With a press of my red button, I can watch 4 games at once, or choose which 1 to watch. Or go back to the featured match which is from St James' Park. It's very hard to watch 4 matches at the same time! You're generally scanning from one to the other for forward chances, and then quickly selecting that game, and then back and so on! Keeps me awake though.

We get the multi screen but it doesn't start til about 8:00pm and then goes on through the night til about 3:00am, but all after the games have finished.

We've had Man U v Arsenal live this morning, and tomorrow we have Chavski v b4st4rds and the WBA and Cats games on Monday too, but apart from this week, Saturday is one game at best.

We also get a bit of live CCC, usually 1 game every 3 weeks with the same for Lg1 and Lg 2, usually Friday night games.

I think the world and his wife get more live English footbal than we do. Ridiculous really.

It is silly really.
Imagine the UK being able to watch Carlton V Collingwood this weekend live and Australia having to watch a replay or highlights show.

Funny you should metion that smithy. Setanta over here do show live AFL and Eurosport have an AFL wrap programme with an hour and a half of AFL highlights from each game.

Sadly, no SANFL coverage at all :(

I don't take Setanta, as it's another $25 per month, and Sky already costs me $160 per month as it is

Boro have 3 min to save their EPL lives.
Toon still losing 1 - 0 and down to 10 men
Hull are drawing 1 - 1 at Bolton and are on top
