Bellend shouldn't have taken so long to lap up the applause. He took a long time to get back to his position.

United deserved the 3 points though, we gifted them two goals but absolutely dominated the second half and could have scored 10. Vintage performance by Giggs in the second half and Owen has made Fergie's risk worthwhile. What a goal after a wonderful pass by Giggsy.

What a disgrace the Manchester Derby turned into. I only saw the first half, but it was a brilliant specticle to that point, and by all reports, that continued after the break.

But it is beyond me how Man USA can continue to so blatantly receive the rub of the green. Clearly the final whistle was not going to be blown until Man U had won. The 4th official should have held up a sign on 90 mins saying "AS LONG AS IS REQUIRED FOR UNITED TO WIN"

Then when Owen scored, the 4th official and Fergie are having a good old laugh about it.

This is the EXACT same thing that happened at White Hart Lane at the start of 2008. Spurs are 1-0 up at the end of 90 minutes. 4th official holds up his stupid sign calling for 3 minutes of added time, which was a complete mystery to everyone watching as to how they could possibly have found 3 minutes that needed to be replayed. 93 minutes up - no whistle. 94 minutes up no whistle. 95th minute, Man USA corner, Tevez goal and Spurs only manage 1 point from a game we totally dominated.

It's a farce.

Wow STILL going on about that game?

To begin with, the 4 minutes was held up when United were 3-2 up so that played to City's advantage.

Bellamy scores seconds before 90mins are up, play doesn't resume until just after 91mins I believe.. that does not mean only 3 minutes are to be played. 30 seconds are also added for each substitution, great tactical move to bring Carrick on by Fergie.

Here are some good explanations as well:

As mentioned there, City had a chance to win it 4-3 too but they were very defensive.

United absolutely destroyed City in the second half and it would have been cruel had City taken a point out of it.

It was Sheffield Wednesday
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

You know us Marty, dogs and bones and all that ;)

On a serious point, I heard the same reasoning. What I can't understand is, in that case where was the added time for the other 3 goals scored in the second half, or the extra time he should have allowed for the 4th United goal, because he blew the whistle only 16 seconds after the re-start.

Apart from that, agree totally, United were the only side out there that deserved to win.

5 wins out of 6 now to Man U this year. ;) ;)

A little short of match practice maybe?

Has he been on the same pre-season regime as Jamie Carragher ?

Speaking of fitness regimes, I heard that Lucas Neill had been working to a regime set him by the Australian Trainer. Can't recall his name.

Sorry swooper, I couldn't tell you who it was for the life of me. Just that the TV guys mentioned his training routine over the summer whilst he sorted out another club.

And to think that he turned down Real Madrid to come to Everton. Not so much that Everton is a bad move, more that Real were interested in the first place

Christopher $kase...?

Despit Neill being a money grabber, comparing him to $kase is a bit rich.

JTC - Christopher Skase was an Australian property tycoon who basically blatantly stole money invested by thousands of Australians in a housing development in Queensland. When it all went pear shaped, be fled to Mallorca in Spain to take advantage of Spains lack of extradition rules, meaning he never went to trial - Much like many British crooks have. He lived in a luxury mansion purchased with stolen money.

He's dead now, but he will be remembered probably forever as the most heartless theiving bastard in Australian history.

Chelsea went behind after 16min and the equalised, when it was 1-1 after 51min Cech was sent off and Wigan scored from the penalty spot, the 3rd goal was in the last mintue, oh well cant do much about that
