Some interesting games coming up with plenty of opportunities for the "minnows" to progress. there are four ties that don't involve EPL sides and a couple of ties where non EPL sides have a great chance of knocking thier more illustrious counterparts.

I can see both Everton and Bolton going out. Tie of the round? Spurs v Leeds maybe

Dream run for Tottenham, having the luck of getting Leeds rather than Man Utd!

Alot of people wrote the Toffees off last season also and we outlasted you all until the final! Atleast our next match is at Goodison which should help. Bring on Notts please...

Everton really struggled against Carlilse Cossi, and it took a real scrappy Cahill goal to settle it. forrest have gone 17 games unbeaten in the CCC and Birmingham were outplayed for all but 10 minutes. Either of these two will be a tough game (unlike the one against the clarets  )

 Really :( I never saw the game just the highlights, we need our injured players to recover quicker! Every injured player seems to be getting setbacks in our squad! Is there some incapable staff down at Goodison maybe??

Fair play to Leeds. What a result.
And thank God they did it too, preventing yet another Spurs v Man U cup clash.
Jermaine Beckford has poured in the goals at Leeds - how is not playing in the CCC at least?

Liverpool looked like a shower of shite against Reading, so fingers crossed for the Clarets Reading can progress and set up a repeat of last years CCC playoff result.

As for the minnows, could Forrest Green (in the 5th tier), Gillingham, Brentford, Accrington Stanley, Notts County (with Sven Goran Escort as D.O.F.), Brighton (Under Gus Poyet ;) ) or heaven forbid Leeds sneak through to the 5th round?

Looking at the draw, I'd say Brentford are a reasonable shout if they can progress past Donny in their replay. The winner of Notts County and Forrest Green is also a good chance of keeing the magic of the cup alive given Wigan's shocking form.

I think sacked PNE boss Alan Irvine has joined Everton to work with Moyes.

Wigan destroyed Hull 4 - 1 after going a goal down DA. Kinda hot and cold team. One week they're excellent, the next, crap.

While it would be great to play Leeds and smash them, it would be equally hilarious if they were to get knocked out by Kettering after getting themselves so excited over a match against United.

Wow what a shock, you show up after a United loss. :)

Pretty embarrassing but it sounds like Leeds wanted it more than us, at least it gives us a chance to concentrate on more important things like the Carling Cup.

Surely you jest?

On the game, to be honest it wasn't as big a surprise as some are making out. Ferguson hasn't valued the FA Cup for years now, dating back to when he pulled them out of the competition completely so they could compete for the Club World Cup, which clashed with the FA Cup scheduling. The cheek of the man. I see his latest gripe is that five minutes added time wasn't sufficient, an 'insult' as he put it....

Good luck with the Carling Cup, Mr Mancini and his in form Citizens await.

Not entirely true RM, but some of the bollocks you post on here with either your Cardiff City or United hats on compel me to say something.

Shooting fish in a barrel really.

Not entirely true MST. I think Fergie was taking this game pretty seriously. Vidic was pulled out after the warm up forcing him to change the team and he kept the interviewer waiting nearly 10 minutes after the game whilst he blasted the team.

As for the Club world Cup, it wasn't Man U that wanted to pull out of the FA Cup, they went on the insistance of the FA themselves.

I agree though, that the FA cup hasn't been a priority for Man U for a long time, but niether is it a priority to any of the other sides competing in the CL and a top 4 berth.

I was completely taking the piss re the Carling Cup comment.

Even though the semi is against rivals City and United would love to stop them from winning that comp. It is basically a meaningless competition to the teams up the top, a good chance for some midtable league sides to win a trophy though.

But good to see that you are taking so much delight in watching United struggle, at least it takes your mind off Liverpool I guess. 8)
