3 playoff spots sorted, leaves Brighton, Reading and Blackburn fighting for the last
spot. Brighton need only a draw away against Forest to guarantee a spot.
Reading need to win at home against Burnley and rely on Brighton losing.
Blackburn have the least chance, need to beat Wigan at home and rely on Reading not winning and Brighton losing

Id prefer them over Basterd Rovers, those pricks can stay down where they belong.
Brighton have a great new stadium and facilities and the club has had an amazing transformation considering they were almost bankrupt and were 15 minutes away from being relegated to Conference football only 15 years ago. Would love to see a new face in the EPL rather the yo-yo clubs

Black........ I can't bring myself to say it, bastard rovers need a miracle
Wigan and Brighton on 70 points, with plus 13 and 14 respectively. Bastards on 67 and +7 so would need at least a 6 goal turn around
Reading are on 69 but have to plat the Clarets so their season is effectively over.

I think 3 - 6 are as they are with a Derby v Wigan final and Redknapp unemployed.

Wigan secure a playoff spot after a 1-0 win at Birmingham. Brum in deep trouble now, lose at Bolton on the weekend and they are down, even a win might not be enough

At Reading today, drove down yesterday and staying at the Madjeski hotel. I think we are hoping to recapture that feeling the night we were here after beating them 2-0 in the 2nd leg of the Play off's back in 09.

I know in my heart of hearts it won't happen. Promotion is already signed and sealed, and we have already had our season end party last week at home to Ipswich, but I just thought " you never know"
Anyway here I am in bed recovering from too much Guinness last night with a few mates that came down, and not looking forward to the 5 hour drive home afterwards. Especially as it is bank holiday weekend here, which means 5 hours is likely to turn into 7 hours.

And to top it off North got thrashed this morning

Geese I bloody hope Burnley win, but only by a single goal

Amazing last day.
Reading held to a 2-2 draw against Burnley whilst Brighton netted a winner deep into injury time at Forest to grab the last playoff spot.
Drama at the bottom aswell with Birmingham coming from 2-0 down against Bolton with 12 minutes remaining to draw 2-2 with the last kick of the day and avoid relegation. Doncs go down on GD with Barnsley and Yeovil.
Playoffs see Derby v Brighton and QPR v Wigan

Reading must really hate us.

It was surreal. They all started dancing and singing and when the final whistle blew they all celebrated and invaded the pitch.
We looked at each other as we knew Brighton had drawn
Then it also dawned on them as news travelled through the crowd

Suddenly the dancing and cheering stopped (at this point I have to say I like Reading. It's a nice club and they are nice fans), as they realised what had happened.

They cried
We laughed (trust me it was weird)
Now most of them were on the pitch, and they decided to for some reason it was our fault and began to amassing front of us with an angry look on their faces. The police and stewards did their best.

We sang songs at them
"We are premier league, we are premier league "
" you're not going up, you're not going up"
"Down with the bastards, you're staying down with the bastards"
And other renditions

I think it was probably around this time that Nigel Adkins and his team decided to abandon the players lap of honour as most of the normal fans had left and the remainder were either running amock on the pitch or doing their best to break through the police courdon to get to the Clarets fans still standing in the away section having a party by ourselves.

I realise I haven't mentioned that throughout the afternoon the loudspeakers telling the home fans that the team will make a lap to say thanks for the support and kindly not encroach onto the playing surface.

After about 15 - 20 mins we all got bored and left.

And so, after another 5 hour drive to the pub, ends another unique away day

Leicester to go straight back. Not a good record for teams first year in the EPL who win the Championship ;)

Yes for some strange reason the runners up and playoff winner generally does better up than the winners.

Ha, only stating the facts though.
Happened again this season, Cardiff were run away champs but have been an embarassment, Hull finished runners up but avoided relegation just but Palace who only just scraped into the playoffs are still a chance to finish top 10

Birmingham by some miracle score 2 goals in 14 mins to get the draw required to stay in the Championship after Doncaster had lost earlier in the day
