Harry is over in Italy in discussions with Milan for th purchase of Adriano.

Bale has been offered in part exchange.

also chasing Downing and offering Bentley as part of the deal.

Having watched Bentley against the Clarets, he was sh1t.

I know Downing blows a bit hot and cold, but with Lennon on the right and Downing on the left (basicaly Englands wing set up) and Adriano and De Foe up front, Spurs look a decent side up front.

Not sure about Bents future though although rumour has it he is a target of Everton.

I was going to post this in the Top Ten thread, but I have already done a Top 10 for this week, but I just couldn't resist a dig at Arry after his pathetic aftermatch interiew this week.

So here are Arry's top ten quotes  (Sorry DA, nothing personal) ;)

or

"My missus could have scored that":

1) On West Ham’s lack of league success:
"Even when they had Moore, Hurst and Peters, West Ham's average finish was about 17th. It just shows how crap the other 8 of us were"

2) On West Ham’s bad boy striker John Hartson:
"Hartson's got more previous than Jack the Ripper!"

3) On West Ham ‘Pourtu-geezer’ Dani:
"My missus fancies him. Even I don't know whether to play him or f*ck him."

4) On compilation videos of footballers distributed by hopeful agents:
"I tape over most of the player videos with Corrie or Neighbours. Most of them are crap. They can f***ing make anyone look good. I signed Marco Boogers off a video. He was a good player but a nutter. They didn't show that on the video."

5) On West Ham’s chances of qualifying for the UEFA Cup:
"Where are we in relation to Europe? Not far from Dover"

6) On tactics:
"I sorted out the team formation last night lying in bed with the wife. When your husband's as ugly as me, you'd only want to talk football in bed"

7) And here she comes again, so to speak:
"I got a fantastic reception from the crowd here at Upton Park - and why shouldn't I? Now I'm looking forward to getting one off the wife. Reception I mean. I'm too old for all that kind of stuff."

8) On a training-ground clash between Alvin Martin and Matthew Rush:
"I've seen better fights at a wedding."

9) On the changing culture of football:
"With the foreigners it's more difficult. Most of them don't even bother with the golf, they don't want to go racing. They don't even drink."

10) On West Ham’s Ivorian striker Samassi Abou:
"Samassi Abou don't speak the English too good."

And one that Harry might want to forget... Still, they were, er, different times, or something.
"[Abou] went home to the Ivory Coast and got a bit of food poisoning. He must have eaten a dodgy missionary or something."

No offence taken.

They're bloody hilarious. Arry's a funny bloke at times. I'm yet to be convinced that he can coach. On current showings, I don't think he's got the brains to arrange a shag in an outhouse.

I won't be surprised when we're linked with a new coach by April/May. His first 7 games were fun while it lasted, but he'll be hounded out sooner rather than later.

The biggest mistake Spurs have ever made is to sack Martin Jol.

Jermaine Defoe has reportedly broken his foot and will be out for between 6 weeks to the remainder of the season. Absolutely gutted.

Little man defoe missed 2 cup finals last year - LC with us, FA Cup with Pompey and is now set to miss this years LC again.

Lots of people are suggesting Keane wil be brought back in, but I say, WHY!!!!!!!!!!!! He's scored f-all goals and acted like a baby at times. Enjoy picking splinters out yer bum on Merseyside Keano

Sorry DA but it is gonna happen. not included in the Liverpool line up today, and plenty of talk on Sky.

However, Rafa, said in an interview yesterdaym that Keano has to stay and fight for his place. Although he didn't say where that place was

Yep ... Apparently we still owe them 10 mil, so I reckon It will waive that and cost them about 3 or 4 mil on top, well below what we paid for him.

Here it says Spurs have sealed a 15 mill deal for Robbie but I think it is false.

Here is an article where Rafa says he expects Keane will remain at Anfield.

Yep, signed sealed and delivered ... Fair committment to Spurs because he could have kept playing UCL.

Good luck to him back at WHL, yeah I wasn't impressed with his sulkability but he didn't really recieve a great deal of opportunity or work within a system that perhaps best supported his talent.

Watch the prick score at Anfield later in the season lol

12 million pounds + add ons, 4 year contract.

The same man who thought Gareth Barry was bad business for 20 mill is also the same person who bought Keane for 20.3 mill.

THat's right

Rick Parry

Little wonder Rafa wants total control of transfers.

So it was definitely Parry's decision to sign RK Smithy?

I thought Rafa had been claiming it wasn't his decision?

Parry seems to always play both sides, always protecting his own position in the process ... Don't think too many fans would be upset if he wasn't there anymore.

Fair commitment? What about his commitment after signing a 5 year contract in May, then on the first sniff of Liverpool interest and after seeing his feeder buddy sod off to the dark side, he buggers off up norf leaving the club he's so committed too, totally in the lurch in the striker department. Don't get me wrong, Keane was great while he was at Spurs until March 2008. Since and going forward, it's very much 'meh' IMHO. Fans sang 'Jermaine Defoe is Yiddo' for 6 weeks prior to little man coming back to the club - because we all know that JD is committed to Spurs. When Keane returned to the Lane in that horrid red shirt, he received respectful applause, but not 1 mouth sang for his return. I'm willing to wager that Keane's name won't be sung loudest as it once was. In the eye's of most Spurs fans, this is like hooking back up with a girlfriend that you really liked after she dumped your ass for the bloke down the road with bigger muscles and a better car, then came crawling back wanting everything to be like it was........we all know who the loser is going to be out of this.

If he scores against the Scum on the weekend, I'm willing to write off a little of the bad grace surrounding Keane.

IMO, he can thank that broken bone in JD's foot for getting a reprieve from the Anfield wilderness. IF little man was fit, Keano would still be rotting IMO.

Rant part 1 over...In Keane's defence, Liverpool's treatment of him was disgraceful. Did Rafa understand why he bought Keane in the first place? Why did he only get 6 months to prove himself? Liverpool's fans have proven that they are far worse at hounding out their own players than Spurs - the Kop was on Keane's back from the day the club paid 20.3m for him. It's not his fault they paid stupid money for him!!! Expectations were way too high, then he doesn;t get the time to settle and have a run of games like he always had at Spurs. Then he does pretty much exactly what he did while he was at Spurs (scores some crakers, misses some sitters, plays hot and cold, but still produces a decent goal tally) and still the fans/manager/owners hound him out. He's not Berbatov, Shearer, Ronaldo (Fat one), Henry etc, etc, but a serviceable goal scorer who plays with heart. Liverpool ****** it up for themselves IMO.

End of rant!

There will be no Carling Cup for Keane - cup tied with the bindippers.
No UEFA Cup either - the registration cut-off date was yesterday.

So Spurs have Pav & Keane for the League, Pav, Bent and Campbell for the CC and Bent and Campbell for the UEFA.

What a mess.
