Cardiff beat Derby 4-1 in the last league match under lights at Ninian Park, we will be moving to a new stadium next season.

That gives us a huge chance of making the playoffs now as we are 5 pts clear of PNE (7th) with a game in hand.

She's tight like a tiger at the top of the Championship Table. Particularly the playoff places.

With the Clarets and Cardiff winning, it's status quo from midweek. Huuuuuuge game this week between the 2. The winner could almost secure their playoff place - particularly Cardiff with their game in hand. Absolute must win for the Clarets, so it's going to be an absolute corker. Hopefully Blackpool can do a number on Reading, but unlikely.

The top teams are still very catchable with Birmingham slipping up to Charlton.

Cardiff's impressive win should just about seal their spot now as they are 8 points clear inside the playoffs with the game in hand. I reckon the teams in the top 7 won't change now it just depends on where they finish.

Huge win to Cardiff over Burnley this morning. It finished 3-1 but Cardiff were 1-0 up with about 5 minutes left, then Burnley equalised before goal machine Ross McCormack scored twice to secure the points.

Birmingham, Sheffield Utd and Reading dropped points so the Bluebirds have a sniff at an auto-spot still.

Shocker of a result for the Clarets with both Swansea and Preston winning. Closes the gap to only 4 points with 3 games left.

Monday we are at home to Sheff United which is a massive, massive game, before we travel to relegation haunted Soton and finish off the season with an early kick off home game against Bristol City.

I have a horrible, horrible feeling that the game againt Bristol could well be the season defining game. Lose and everything we have done this year, the cup runs, the fantastic win at Chavski and the unbelievable 3 -0 demolition of Spurs at Turf Moor on a night to remember, will all be in vein. We could end up with nothing to show for it all.

birmingham blew the chance for automatic promotion by losing 1-2 after leading 1-0

birmingham are away to Reading while Sheff Utd are away to Crystal Palace next week

Tough times for Southampton as they are also filing for administration I believe, but due to a technicality their penalty will be carried forward to next term, meaning they will start next season in League 1 with -10 points.

I can see Birmingham throwing away this glorious chance they have had!
Also why has Phillips been given such little time in the 2nd half of the year?
Experienced campaigner and is the clubs top goalscorer and is not a happy camper
with the amount of time he has recieved of late, hich is fair enough imo!

Spot on DA, their parent company went into administration. And the 10 point deductioin does carry over to next year, but I guess th FA had no choice after doing something similar to Leeds last year.

RELEGATED

Southampton & Charlton.

Norwich on 46 (GD= -11), Barnsley 49 (GD = -14).

Norwich play Charlton. Barnsley play Plymouth.

Two very even games. Barnsley only need a point.

PROMOTION

Wolves (Champions)

Birmingham on 80, Sheffield Utd on 79, Reading on 77 both Reading & Sheffield Utd have a far superior goal difference to Brum.

Sheffield Utd play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Pk. Reading play Birmingham at Madesjki.

If Sheff win and Birmingham lose or draw they're up.
If Sheff draw, and Birmingham lose they'll missout to Reading who won and have better goal difference.
If Birmingham win, they're up. If they draw and Sheff Utd lose they're up.
If Reading win, and Sheff Utd draw or lose, they're up on goal difference.

Will be interesting.

PLAYOFFS

Cardiff - 74, Burnley - 73 & Preston - 71 all fighting to stay in.

Cardiff play Sheffield Wednesday and need a point to stay in the race.
Burnley play Bristol and need a win to stay safe (a draw will do IF Preston draw or lose)
Preston play QPR and must win. Need Burnley to draw/lose to overtake them. Need Cardiff to lose by 2 or more to overtake them.
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

You forgot if Burnley and Preston both win and Cardiff lose then Burnley and Preston are in and Cardiff are out and based on recent results Cardiff aren't exactly setting the world on fire.

One definitely the form team and burnleys home win over sheff u has kept them in the race.

So what chance

Sheff u promoted at warnocks palace
Brim v Preston
Readin v Burnley

With a Burnley v Preston final

Based on what I saw in September, that would be an ideal draw for the Clarets! ;)

Great night. Pleanty of ale, good food and mixed it with the players too. Gave Chris McCann a big pat on the back for the huge amount of cash he has won me this year. He even asked for a cut

Player of the year was Robbie Blake.
Young player of the year was Chris McCann
Players player of the year was Graham Alexander
Goal of the year was Jay Rodrigues for his goal against Forest when we won 5 - 0

Now for Sunday. I am cr4pping myself. Stomach is churning and has been for days. Early kick off 1:15 on Sunday and we have some Bristol City fans in the box this week.

Come on you Clarets.
