I watched Leeds for the first time in a few years the other night against Leicester. Sodje looked really solid in defence. Was a shame i didnt get to see Beckford in action. Hopefully he is fit and firing for the next month or so.

That was a quick change. Hope i didnt offend anyone

As for Leeds, it look like they might have to settle for a p/o spot, but with their current form and a huge fan base shouting them on, they have a better then even chance of joining the Foxes in the CCC in my opinion.

shame the Clarets won't be there to take them on next year ;)

We are 7 points clear on top - would be Criminal not to go up as Champs now, considering we have dominated the League all season, been on top since the start of November and seen off challenges from the MK Dons, Millwall and Peterborough at various stages of the season.

Leeds should have an advantage come playoffs but that didn't help them last season!

Big club, big vocal support - didn't get them across the line last year in the playoffs (or did you fall asleep for that bit of the season???) However Leeds did remarkably well to finish where they did last year considering they were -15 down before a ball was kicked in anger.

The huge support is a factor. It could work for us, but then again it could be alot of pressure for the players in the big games. It was a remarkable effort last season. IIRC we would have finished 2nd if our 15 points were re-instated.

Of course i was watching last season. Listened to the final on the radio. Lost 1-0.

Woot ! Woot !

Burton Albion, the mighty Brewers are into League 2. What a near disaster though. Last 6 games saw them lose 5 and only win 1 !

They get automatic promotion by 2 points !!

Leeds snatched 4th spot as Millwall slipped up. This means Leeds will play Millwall in the playoffs. 1 question. Because Leeds claimed 4th spot, doesnt that give them the right to a second leg home match? Because IIRC Leeds play the first leg at home this Saturday night.
Also, is there any chance it will be on TV here?

I noticed in today's advertiser that Exeter City snatched 2nd spot in league 2 and promotion to league 1. Their 2nd straight promotion after getting through the play-offs of the level below (whatever it is called these days).

Now if IIRC the Grecians dropped out of the Football League in 2003 and had some massive debts. They are now a supporter owned club and got lucky with the FA Cup draw in getting an away tie with Man U earning a nil all draw and another return leg with the away gate takings and other revenue from the replay went a long way to getting the bank balance in order. They are now the highest supporter owned club in the FL

At this stage the playoff semi's will not be shown on TV in Australia but I have been advised that Foxsports will be showing the League One Final Live, so hopefully Leeds make it.

Police on alert for Millwall's clash against Leeds as fans are warned to stay out of trouble

Four hundred police officers will be on duty tomorrow to make sure Millwall’s play-off match with Leeds is not wrecked by violence.

The Met has been collaborating with the club, British Transport Police and West
Yorkshire Police to ensure they have a ring of steel around The Den.

Officers are determined not to have a repeat of the riot in 2002 after Millwall’s Division One play-off defeat by Birmingham. Back then, around 1,500 fans are thought to have clashed outside the ground and 47 officers were injured.

For tomorrow’s play-off clash, the club have limited Leeds to just 1,000 tickets, while the home supporters have been allocated 13,000 seats.

Superintendent Peter Vincent of the Metropolitan Police said: 'Our message to fans is simple; if you’re coming to enjoy the game safely and legally, we will endeavour to help you do that. If you intend to cause trouble, your efforts will be thwarted.'

Millwall’s safety officer Ken Chapman added: 'We have worked very hard with the
police and local community to ensure it’s a trouble-free day.

'We know there are people out there who want to cause problems but we have a duty
to try to stop them. Things have progressed since we last played in the play-offs.'
