Was pretty confident once we got to Penalties as Reina is a class act (although struggled more during regulation than any other time in a Reds outfit imho) ... Stevie Gerrard (with perhaps the likes of Henry and Lampard) is surely one of the most valuable players to his club, in world soccer!!

He's now scored in finals of the League Cup, FA Cup and Champions League (not sure about Eufa, have to check that one)!

Luck?? Given soccer/football is a contest in which luck can play a more significant role in the result at times to others (imho anyway), let's look at that a little more closely ...

- Liverpool concede an own goal (some would suggest that was unlucky)
- Liverpool score but have the goal disallowed on an offside call the commentators disagreed with (although I didn't lol) - some would suggest that was unlucky
- West Ham score accidentally on a shot that was a cross gone wrong - Some would suggest that was unlucky

With the amount of unfit players Liverpool had on the pitch, no, I find it hard to put their victory down to luck ...
