Prelim Final Adelaide V Newcastle

Postby mypaddock » Fri Feb 09, 2007 11:11 am

Biggest game in Utd's history to date. I assume Adelaide will slow the game down and try and dictate cause if Newcastle score early and get on a roll the floodgates could open. Best attacking side in the competition. Adelaide's attacking players need to lift- must find a way to score. My prediction Adelaide 1-0

I think Newcastle will try and play an up tempo game and rush our defense - lets hope we can with stand the pressure. It would be nice to score early again.
It is what it is !!!

I hope not but think it will be Jets 3-1, they got too much firepower up front, our boys will be under intense pressure from start to finish.

The Jets defence is a bit average which is good for us.. but they are a good team in good form. An early goal and i will be pretty confident of getting a result.

Just got back from thebby so i have my ticket for the game.

Stampy, Wedgie has "issues" with Adelaide United's coach. Failed "Bridge Building 101" at uni. Is currently consulting IT experts to whether the SAfooty website, would be able to hold all the posts should Adelaide win the title.

Not just the coach CedeNullis but yes I do have a longer memory than others in South Australia (or have been following Australian soccer longer) when it comes to remembering Kosmina's comments and attitude towards Adelaide City in the early 90s when he lived interstate.
Also have issues with the supporters, the nickname and a sponsor.
Plus it'd be boring if we all just followed the same club like sheep, Ive always had a mind of my own and like to be a bit different.
