All I'm saying is given a team a home ground advantage solely based on tv ratings in a grand final in a sport where history has proven home ground advantage is massive makes the competition integrity look very second rate

It's not Adelaides fault they were given a home final

I understand why the FFA have done it but we now have a cup where the draw is manipulated to make sure semi pros make the semi finals and they decide cup final home advantage on tv ratings, as it stands the Foxtel cup has more credibility than this cup

Also funny how barely a couple thousand showed up to the round matches of the FFA cup and now that United have won it the comp is all a sudden something special

Unlike European football where there isn't a huge financial gap between division player payments (except for the top end) and the fact they are at least all pros.

No. A League clubs are the equivalent of AFL clubs. The Foxtel Cup was for state league clubs.

Adelaide gets decent away support in Melbourne and Sydney but you are correct that not many travel to Perth.
People from the West are used to travelling so it doesnt seem to bother them as much, the footy is the same, I probably have attended a couple of hundred Essendon games interstate but have only seen them in Perth four times, just too cost and time prohibitive to get over there

Soccer has always prided itself on the fact that all league and cups are an equally even co test with every team given the same opportunities
