Gold Coast has had their license revoked.
They are now kicked out of the comp and will not be allowed to finish the season.

The FFA are now willing to pay the players so that Gold Coast can play the remaining 4 fixtures as to not interupt the season.

What a load of bollox. We are a laughing stock of world football.

For all the goodwill generated with the A League since it's inception, this single act has totally undone everything good that's been achieved in recent years.

Dont know about that.
Palmer has been a disgrace to the A-League and he has breached numerous regulations.
He has had that many warnings and enough is enough. Cant have owners dictating how the league is ran.
Good riddance to Palmer, hope another side steps in next year

I agree Jim.

It's a new league, always going to be clubs that move / cease to exist etc etc.

Happens in every football competition in the world...

Is this a result of the slogan on their game shirt?

Kicking a team out at this stage of the season is pig headed and just hurts the people who deserve it the least, supporters, players, workers at the club... No reason they couldn't have waited until the end of the season

That was the final breach.
Palner has stated he hates Soccer and has slammed FFA several times.
He alao had the match earlier in the season where he closed most of the stadium to save wages.
He has threatened in the past to play home matches behind closed doors to save money.

Palmer had threatened to pull out before seasons end.
Sorry, feel sorry for the innocent people but enough is enough

I dont see why he would even bother in the first place. Now their whole list needs to find new clubs.

Players participating whilst banned, clubs struggling to pay subs, and a team getting kicked out the competition during the season.

All we need now is a club to bring in a new team of high profile recruits just for finals and the A-Leagues transformation from a Professional Football League to a social Tuesday night kick around will be complete.

Bring back the Italians/Greeks/Croats/Maltese clubs that were run by people who had real passion for the game and developed it massively in thier new country ,all while some other sections of our communities moaned about how how good it was back home and contributed at a local club level but had no national ideals or ambitions for the game in Australia .In some ways Craig Foster is dead right on some issues .

Well the whole expansion thing proved to be a waste of time.

Gold Coast was always doomed from the start just like their AFL side will be.
A team from Western Sydney will work nicely

I'd suggest the AFL won't use their "ownership" in the same way the governing body of the A league did. Gold Coast and GWS will be there long after the A league is gone.
