Muscat just converted a penalty to make it...

Gamba 3 Victory 1 after just 23 minutes.

Muscat earlier gave away a penalty which is no surprise.

Not the best start, 3-0 after 12 minutes, but the way its looking its going to be a very high scoring match, so anything could still happen.

Amazed Gamba didn't go down to 10 men with the penalty they gave away, extremely lucky.

We played like crap once again fits in well with our regular season form.

Funny part is for how great and proud Adelaide United did in Asia they have done exactly the same thing as Melbourne, won sweet FA, nothing to show for it except for a debt at the end.

Wait what were were the excuses after the Asian Cup final defeat OH THATS RIGHT, the football federation didnt help us out with our fixtures, we had to play to many games in a row etc etc etc.

Once again another 5hite Adelaide finals performance and another bunch of laughable excuses, common theme between Adelaide, sooking, losing finals.

My mates a carpenter, let me know when Adelaide WIN something and ill get him to build you somewhere to put it.

Sorry Dude,

Adelaide United is the greatest football club in the world, they are full of champion players, champion coaches and champion fans, possibly even the greatest fans in world football. Nothing they have ever done has been wrong and the only reason they havent won the A-League title every year is due to the Football Federation being out to get them and dodgy refs every week kill results against United.

Melbourne are scumier and more feral than Adelaide, Sydney are just the bling toffee bastards and Wellington are a bunch of sheep shagging w**kers.

Is that what you want to here from all posters regarding Adelaide United.

Was interesting to note Muscat's very moderate responses when:

A) A penalty was awarded against him.

B) When a free kick just outside the box was given to him.

No swearing at the ref, cornering and berating him for a minute or two. No swearing.
Just an acceptance of the decision.
Very different to what we've seen in the A-League.
Although, I will admit, that free kick just outside the box should never have been given and his response was considerably subdued.

And WHUFC, while Adelaide United have thrown up some laughable finals performances, your contention that the minor premiership means f all in Australia is actually wrong.
The first ACL qualifying spot is given for first past the post winner, while the second in Australia is given to the winner of the finals series (or the other grand finalist if the double occurs). In countries where no finals series is in place, the qualifications go to the title winner and the cup winner. The finals in Australia are viewed for ACL purposes as 'the cup'.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Pretty sure if you asked most coaches and players in the A-League what they value most, the answer will be the premiers plate over the toilet seat 9 times out of 10.

No need to add a response re the value of the 'Minor' Premiership as others have already done that.

You guys have won a double though (or 2?) so I guess that doesn't mean anything? That means all you guys have won is 2 Grand Finals. They were only against the 'laughing stock of Australian football' so they don't really count either.
