sad to hear but were only in the comp to help the world cup bid. once that fell through they were never going to remain financially or logistically viable.

From what i was aware the world cup bid saw townsville as a very important part of the stadium bid and was definitely going to be redeveloped. An empty redeveloped stadium without soccer would not have looked very good.

They should of kept it to the original teams, if anything only add another Melbourne team which they done.

Yeah after 25 years, A League wouldnt have lasted 2 years without the tens of millions of dollars of tax payers money.
Plus Adelaide United bigger home crowds to games in the NSL than they ever did the ALeague. ;)

Thats my BIG concern J05... Would hate to see his style missing from the A-League... Have heard big rumours linking him with the LA Galaxy - but cannot confirm anything just yet
