Very entertaining game.
United have to win just to get top 2 now.

Central Coast now have nothing to play for and we haven't been the same side since losing Mile Jedinak.
We have a history of never being able to be written off but I can't see us going far in the finals this year.

Halftime bud ... 0-0 but 11 corners and end to end footy ... Score could very easily have been 3-3.
Pantelis with the best chance from a from kick which completely beat Vukovic, but hit the crassbar and bounced straight to him

0-0 after 78 minutes

Still 0-0 after 79 ... Adelaide had something like 13 corners for the game ... We're regularly getting the ball into the box but the Mariners always looking dangerous on the counter.
I know it's been said a few times lately, but this another for those who think 0-0 football matches have no entertainment value!
And as I type ... CHRISTIANO!!!
United 1-nil

No drama's mate ... Cornflakes nearly blows it for us with a terrible mistake, and then Dodd with a crackin effort in the dying seconds ... But thats it Full-time.
United deserved the victory, and we finish 2nd at the end of the minor round.

Weren't our goal differences the same (Melbourne and Adelaide)? Do they take top spot due to a better head to head record?

I got the feeling that to break the deadlock it goes by who has scored more goals ... H2H probably fairer and that would have gotten them over us anyway ... We had our chances to finish top but didn't take them.
