That's correct...a nice friendly before they take on the Iraqi's on the 01st June for the World Cup qualifiers....

SOrry, that was in response to Kewell being named captain.
The new sicknote since Darren Andertons retirement.

a poor Beckham replacement IIRC ?

No Cahill, no Lucas...mm I would've thrown the band to Schwarzer, if he plays or Culina...

Is Emo playing, he'd have to get the band soon, as IMO he is a vital part of the side
and a real barometer on how the team travels....

Darren Anderton hasn't retired smiffy. He's plying his trade down at Bournemouth. Or at least he was last season. Don't know if he has decided to give it another year but I heard he had.

Anderton was in the England set up when Beck's was still breast feeding. (Maybe not the best example), but you know what I mean. Hardly a poor Beckham replacement SJABC.
Can't recall him being England captain though, although he might have taken the rains in a non impotrant match.


Think he was around the same time as Terry Butcher who was our regular captain.
